Publisher's Summary

Academy graduate Natalya Regyri stood first in line for her pick of engineering officer jobs, until, at the graduation party, a classmate turned up dead. Now, betrayed by her friends and framed for murder, she must flee beyond the reach of the Confederation...and any semblance of civilized society.

With a damaged second-hand ship and TIC interceptors dogging her step, she nets a smuggling contract that might just get her back on her feet and in control of her destiny. But only if she's willing to make an ore run back to the place she's wanted for murder, and into the arms of the authorities...who somehow know she's coming.

Written in Nathan Lowell's popular Trader's Tales and Seeker's Tales universe.

It's not Ishmael Wong

But once again I fell into the characters and their lives only re-emerging once done. A deliciously written pleasure.

Another Cooper Yarn

you really should listen to or read the earlier books in the Solar Clipper series before going on this voyage. If you have, come on aboard! You will not be disappointed.
if you haven't, don't let that stop you. this is a good tale, but you are missing out on a fantastic epic yarn if this is your first port of call in the universe of the Solar Clipper. I envy you if you have yet to listen to the rest of the story. You only get to experience a story for the first time once.

Great split from a traders tale

This is a great first book in a new series. I love what Lowell has created with the traders tales and have listened to the whole series multiple times. If you haven’t tried them I definitely recommend them as well as this book. The narrator does a great job with this book. Can’t wait for more!

Somewhat disappointed

Storyline was good and definitely on par with the Clipper ship Series. My dissatisfaction lies with the narrator, the only voice that I could tolerate was Natalias, Z’s character sounded like a 5 year old and it just grated on my nerves. The men’s voices were just terrible, please get someone else to continue the series.

Needs a different voice.

Narrator voice too high pitched. Hard to listen to at times. I have purchased all of the books from this author and was looking forward to this presentation. Disappointed.

Loved the story! Narrator not so much.

I really liked this adventure in space. This was a bit more exciting right off the bat than many of the other beloved stories I've read by Lowell. I'm excited to read the next book in this series and see where these two main characters end up. Lowell did a good job of wrapping up enough of this story to leave you satisfied but I definitely want to read the next one to find out more. Great book.

Zeller is a talented narrator and was great when she was the main character, but her cartoonish renderings of the other characters were very cringey. For that reason it was pretty rough listening to this fantastic story. I think I'll get the second two on Kindle and use text to speech.

Need new narrator

Loved the previous books. But narrator not so much in this book. Voice is off high pitch and painful at times.

And I'd finally gotten used to Kaffer

I like all the books in this and the other books in this series. Even if my friends call it 'That yard sale in space series'... Originally I found the audiobooks over on podiobook.com (now scribled.com) read by the Author, I loved them. Bought the text versions because of it. (There's only up to owner's share, South Coast, and One Tanyth book read by him.) I kept checking for more audiobooks and found the ones read by Jeffery Kaffer. Couldn't stand it at first, (Thought it was a gunslinger voice reading sailing books.) but I got used to him.... Sorry but I'd rather have Kindle's voice to text read than this narrator it would have been cheaper. I could be wrong, but I doubt I'll get used to her.

Excellent!

Again Mr. Lowell writes a fantazstic book with great plot and strong character development. This story also contains his excellent sense of humor and drama. Emily Woo Zeller does a fantastic work bring the characters to life and filling out who they are and what they are about. I look forward to the time when these two new and interesting people meet up with Ish and Pip and the amazing new stories that can happen. In the meantiime, both of you keep up the good work!

NO STORY
NARRATION IS ABSOLUTELY CHILDISH

How does Nathan do it?

Yet another awesome story from the Golden age of the solar clipper. Nathan is a genius with a pen.

Not quite as milky as you would expect.

Nathan Lowell hits another home run with Milk Run.

Making the mundanity of space faring an enjoyable listen is no mean feat but with every book Nathan does it and then some and Milk Run is no exception.

We follow our main characters Natalia and Zoia as they make their way into uncharted space and attempt to eke out a living amongst the veteran spacers.

Not everything goes their way but just enough does to see them through to the last page.

I look forward, as ever to Nathans next book.

Thank you Sar

Now for Something Different!

This is a very easy listen and is in similar vein to the Trader Tales; I loved that and, although a fairly slow start, I have already purchased the next two books.

Nathan Lowell's books are simply put together and tend to draw the listener into ship and crew life and that is what I like about his books.

Good story

A good story but the writing's not fantastic, far too much he said, she said. A more extensive vocabulary is needed.
