Great book but I think they cut too much. Good performance, but try Player of Games or Use of Weapons if you are wanting to get into Banks via audiobook - read this one rather than listeming.

Way too abridged

See the title. So much is cut out it is hard to follow and even the ending is unnecessarily cryptic. Why abridge it so much? Who knows. The performance of the narrator is otherwise good.
It’s also not the best Culture novel; would definitely try others before this.
