Publisher's Summary

"He’s a challenge - and I like a challenge."

Walter Rogue is a shark. At the age of 19, he took his father's crumbling business and built it into a massive tea empire - but 15 years on and the luster has worn off. He’s bored. And when the opportunity presents itself for him to apply a little pressure to the man who'd wrecked his plans for property expansion, Walter thinks that it's just the sort of cat and mouse game to bring some excitement into his life.

"I’m not giving up on my dreams - not even for Walter Rogue."

Arlo Stone is determined to succeed in the tea-cafe business. He owes it to his late grandfather to see their shared dreams through. Unfortunately, he's expanded too quickly, and unless he can find a quick source of cash to tide him over, he's at risk of losing his entire operation. When he's recruited by the Billionaire Club to date one of their rich patrons, Arlo thinks his cash flow troubles might be over.

It's just supposed to be a business deal. Neither man counts on falling in love.

Welcome to the Billionaire Club, where men of certain means are able to match themselves with high-quality singles who agree to a relationship bound by contract. This steamy BDSM audiobook features enemies who fall in love, a mistaken identity, and a wealthy man humbled the all-encompassing power of true love. This audiobook and every other audiobook in the Billionaire's Consort series can be listened to in any order.

Great Narration, Ok story

The story was OK, I feel like some things just weren't explained sufficiently and it was a bit predictable. Not bad just nothing completely spectacular, there are some interesting side characters who I am curious about their stories. The narration on the other hand was done really well and is what kept me listening to the end.

Fun Story

Arlo was a complainer and Walter was manipulative. The fun of this story was seeing which one blinked first on the tea shop situation. I knew early on they would end up together but the journey was worth the read. The narrator was great. He read the story as if he was acting like the different characters complete with the emotions of each character.

Walter was a disappointment

I was so disappointed in Walter withholding the "info" from Arlo on the third date. Devastated beyond measure! Major trust issues!! I was glad Walter made some changes. but still disappointed with his initial lack of integrity to Arlo! The heart wins in the end. I enjoyed the narrator's voice and expressions.

Tea for two

I liked the story well enough, but I thought something was missing. There were plenty of people in this book that can have spin off story's . That in itself is intriguing. The two main characters were well established and made for a good combination. I think there needed to be a bit more in the latter part of the book that would tie Walter and Arlo together.
I would recommend this book to Adult listeners.

Great start to a series.

I enjoy listening to books that have characters overlap from one book to another. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of this series. The narrator does a good job, and he's easy to listen to. I would definitely recommend this book.

Enjoyable quick listen

This is the first book in The Billionaire's Consort Series with developed characters. This is a story about Walter and Arlo. Walter starts out trying to manipulate Arlo out of his business property but has a change of heart since he fell for Arlo. The lack of communicating with Arlo almost made him lose it all. The narration was very well done.

This was a return for me...

This book just didn't do it for me. While the narration was decent, it couldn't rescue the story. There didn't seem to be much substance to the story. While some books have no substance but plenty of hottness/steaminess...this knew was lacking on that too. The sexual encounters were lacking. The description claims that it is a BDSM novel, which it is not. I was expecting much more from this book.

You never know

I struggled with this story because I didn't like the main characters that much. Arlo was a whinner to me and Walter was a manipulative bastard. I guess they got what they each wanted and needed. What did keep me engaged in the story was the narration. Oh boy he was great. It was like listening to a TV show, more than one person talking and you could hear emotions when he read. Awesome choice.

LOVE HAS NO ROOM FOR BETRAYAL; IT DOES FOR FORGIVE

This book doesn’t seem to follow its title. The story is wonderful as Walter tries to play Arlo for his company but finds that Arlo is not what he thought he would be. Betrayal, lies and love lead to a very steamy story. Welcome to the Club. I really liked the way that Arlo stood up for himself and the way Walter set about fixing his dilemma.

The narrator did a wonderful job of separating the men’s voices and making one believe he was the characters telling their tales.

Brill

This is a brilliant book to listen to as Walter and Arlo meet at an event and like each other with realising who each other is. Walter realises first but continues to keep up the suspense until Arlo finds out and feels hurt. While Walter realises what he wants to do and how to get Arlo back.

What does a CEO do when bored?

Walter needs his next fix. That includes bending a certain Tea Shop owner to sell. Arlo needs to get to the surface with his shop. He applies to the Billionaire Club so he can make ends meet. Who does he meet?
The plot is interesting and angsty. Arlo and Walter have their chemistry but secrets can trump that. I did like the happy ending. And Mr Lewis does a great job with his narration.
