Lacks substance

Very cheesy and lacks substance. Tells us to for a substantial part of the book to “Choose love”, rather than actually being a guide as to how to be “wealthy, healthy and full of love”. Not what I was hoping for. And also a lot of plugs for her website.

Fluffy and cliche

I really tried to give this book a chance but 2 hours in it became unbearable. I am disappointed I wasted my money to be told to choose love and eat kale.

Too worthy and self indulgent.

Fluffy. Too worthy and self indulgent. Some good bits of advice but too hidden amongst her own story.

Painful

I tried. I make it about 7 minutes into chapter 3 but it couldn’t take it anymore. Her reading voice was painfully slow - like we were all a bit simple - and self-indulgent. When she started talking about us all being miracles, I gave up. Her story felt exaggerated for the sake of it, and it didn’t feel quite genuine nor all that interesting. I was so excited to get this one, but sadly now all I feel is regret.

My outer mean girl couldn't handle it

I really tried to make it more than a couple of hours in but I just couldn't. My outer mean girl couldn't handle the sob story about the pretty professional dancer in europe who broke up with her boyfriend and had a cry about it, and I wasn't motivated by being called "darling" or "beautiful" or by talking about "my body as a temple"; I couldn't relate to her talk of "acting out of fear vs love" and I drew the line at the quiz in which I didn't meet any of the examples and it didn't even make sense (answer yes or no, but ask two part questions???). I hope this book will connect with other readers and lift women higher but it's just not for me.

Meh.. A book with the basics..

This book would be good for someone who is extremely low in confidence and has never listened to anything inspirational or positive before. I am 3/4 of the way through and I have not learnt anything new. Just a book with the basics..

Not the best personal development book

I found her quite preachy and didn't find many take aways. I found Gabrielle Bernstein's book a lot more insightful.

Very relatable way to discuss this concept.

Loved it! Narrated with honest feeling. Excellent content and real concrete examples that made sense.
Book layout was great, with clear section and chapter headings and handy recaps at the end of each chapter.
Very relatable way to discuss the concept of self criticism.

Incredible to listen to!

This amazing book is read with such love and passion you can really let the messages absorb in and dive deep with the exercises. Her voice is beautiful and lovely to listen, really feel like she's your gf who's got your back! I would recommend this to any woman because we all have that mean girl and once we know how to work with her, our lives change!

mixed up and disappointing

first chapter is on not forcing your new lifestyle on others but surely learning how to create your new lifestyle comes first. very self indulgent approach with little realalistic and substantial knowledge.
