The beginning made me glad that I didn’t move in their circle during that era. To have such a tyrannical leader in the family certainly made for a not so “merry” go round. Phew. I’m glad it all worked out well in the long run.

This was enjoyable. It potentially went on for quite a few chapters too long, again…dislike of narration, so difficult to tell difference between characters, especially male and female.

Loved it, I am enjoying this author. An unusual twist on the traditional romance. Well narrated. Highly recommended.

I am thoroughly enjoying this series and I think this story may become one of my favourites. The way these two had been married for so long yet we're so against each other until they actually got to know one another was fabulous. I don't think I can explain in words how wonderful this story was.
However, the narration was a bit disappointing. The lack of difference between voices was sometimes confusing when restarting from part way through a chapter.

The second book I’ve listened to by Rebecca Connolly and I am hooked! I can’t help but add her to my list of authors that are favourites and ones for which I’ll by the book just because it’s written by one of my favourite authors, even before I know what it’s about. This series of romances based on arrangements is so captivating, enthralling, and fulfilling. I recommend it without reservation.
