The story: in the centuries since his return from Commorragh, Fabius Bile has distanced himself from the affairs of friend and foe, content only to oversee the cruel evolution of his New Men. Homo Novus must survive...even if Fabius Bile must die to ensure it.

Excellent book interesting ending

An excellent listen with the actors nailing their assigned roles. The story flows and is interesting. The ending isn't what i was expecting but it helps to drive the narrative nicely.

Loved it. but maybe rushed?

I loved it, a bit rushed ending. I would've loved the third part being its own book entierly. hopefully theres another one. there was so much to cover I don't fault the author. hopefully theres another and I will be there to get it.

Loved it!!!

A very insightful glimpse into the world and mind if Fabius Bile! I definitely recommend this to anyone curious about Fabius and the forces of Chaos in general. There is plenty of cool stuff for Drukari fans as well.

fabius bile

Great voice and subtle sounds really convey the unique crippling insanity of each individual damned soul. Bile is even more of an antihero losing the fight against the ruinous powers then before

If you like chaos/Fabius stories, buy it.

It's sublime. 40k novels are often hit-or-miss, but this one is a homerun. I'd suggest getting the first two books in the trilogy first though. part of what made this one so fun was the way it advanced characters and stroylines that began earlier in the series. It was a lovely read though, and one I had long looked forward to. Bravo.

Almost as good as the first two!

This one almost feels like someone else wrote it. A plot change, a minor detail missed, but still worth a listen. The narrator seemed to have trouble remembering which voices belonged to certain characters.

Fantastic conclusion to the tale of Fabius Bile

I did not have any idea how Josh Reynolds was going to finish this series out, and I am pleasantly surprised at the twists and turns that the story took. I laughed, a lot, and I became sad at times and I cheered at others. I definitely recommend this author, series and fictional universe.

Great read

Little hard to follow in the middle, but did a nice job wrapping everything up and tying it all together by the end

Great finnish to one of the best trilogies in 40k

Loves Reynolds nuances storys of the typical evil faction, operating on a grey scale.

A short summary of the book.

Fabius (sneering, of course): "Well, well, well....if it isn't the consequences of my own actions."

A Fabulous book

Its well written and read, the reader represents each character with different voice or accent making it clear who is talking. Its fun to listen to and fascinating to see what fabius does.

A Satisfying Conclusion

Despite some other reviews I felt this was a good ending to the series. Previous characters get wrapped up well, and the series ends on a bang with a surprising revelation.

Perfect

An absolutely amazing trilogy. 100% worth listening to, perfectly narrated and written to keep you enthralled the entire time. The second book in this series was my favourite but all three were great.

A Fitting End to the Trilogy

The Fabius Bile Trilogy is by far my favorite of all the 40k book series. The world of 40 k is almost infinite in the opportunities it provides for story telling and the complexity of Fabius Bile multiplies that further. The first two books were amazing in the richness of the story and the depth of character development of Fabius and his willing and unwilling followers. This book brought the series to a deserved conclusion. It's safe to say it's essentially split into two parts. The first expands upon the lore of Fabius's works mentioned before and the second part drives the story to the end. Without giving anything away the themes of Fabius's struggle against fate and the Gods as well as of that of children against the expectations of their parents and vice versa is continued and explored in new but also familiar ways. This book is an end and also isn't as Veil Walker states round and round the story goes.

One of the best, if not the best, trilogy in 40k

A beautiful end to an incredible story. Fabius Bile continues to be my favourite character in the 40k universe.
