A good continuation of the first book. It does take a couple of chapters to love if you go straight into it after finishing the first book because you leave one set of characters behind for a while, but once you past the world building and new character introductions it is just as addictive as the first. There is one annoying character - I hope they get a redemption arc because I’m ready to throttle them lol. Romance - yes a little not the focus, spicy - no. Mystery, crime and intrigue - yes. Performance is outstanding the character voices are brilliant.

I have read and re-read this story over and over again many times. Mostly when I'm feeling down or anxious and it never fails to draw me in and consume me with its beautiful narrative and love story that spans itself throughout yelena's storyline. I hold this series close to my heart and will cherish it always. I was thrilled to have a new way to experience the lives of my favourite characters in audiobook form. thankyou for this experience.
