About this listen
Evie Black and her demon imp partner, Cass, are two of the most fearsome supernatural bounty hunters on the West Coast. But when Evie’s beloved grandmother dies, her world shatters. After finding the bottom of a bottle of tequila, Evie breaks the one rule she knows better than to ignore: Never hook up with a werewolf. Especially when he’s the local alpha who, oh by the way, happens to be her gran’s sworn enemy. Yeah, complicated doesn’t even begin to cover what happens next.
This is a full-length adult urban fantasy novel. Please be advised there is adult sexual content and language. You know how alpha werewolves get.

I just don’t do accidental pregnancy books… it’s just not my trope. The main character goes from someone I’d want to read about at the start … to someone who’s basically taken out by pregnancy and becomes less snarky and sassy and more tame. Just not my thing.
I’m sure others will love this book but personally I couldn’t finish it.

Oh, not to mention an awesome action, romance packed story with a kick arse female lead character and a fantastic narrator to bring the story to life. Buy it, you won't regret it.
Btw, It's always impossible to please everyone but personally I much prefer One female narrator doing all the voices, especially if she does the male voices well as Kate Marcin has done. For me, even if the male voices are a little feminine, I still much prefer this than the typical deep throated surfer male type voice used in many an audiobook. For me, that contrast breaks me out of the continuity of the story, especially if the section being read is from the female perspective with that female narrator doing the male voice only for the book to switch to the male point of view with a male narrator doing the voices. Regardless of whether they are a male or female narrator, Please stick to the sex of the leading character, I much prefer it this way.
Really enjoyable

Kitsune, I love when the lead is something other than the norm. Awesome sauce. I’ll continue this.
Throughly enjoyable

This is the first book I have read that is by Lucia Ashta, I have read all and loved all of Leia Stones. To be completely honest I could not tell where one author had started and the other ended. The flow in the book is flawless, there is no transition or storyline bumps. Well done ladies!
Magic Bite follows Evie Black a witch dud turned Supernatural Bounty Hunter alongside her BFF and partner a demon imp named Cass. Having to return home after her grandmother dies, Evie’s history and future isn’t as clear as she thought. Past secrets and lies are revealed as well as new threats, and relationships are made.
Being upset and drunk, Evie has a one night stand with a sexy mysterious werewolf. But a one night stand was not in the books for Evie and Brock. It turns out that the werewolf is the alpha that is trying to destroy her grans house.
I really did enjoy reading this story, the humorous banter between Evie and Cass had me laughing with tears. The instant bond and connection between Evie and Brock was great, especially when they are trying to annoy and frustrate each other. (Especially the porch scene)
At times Evie would be this bada** Bounty Hunter but then at times she would be the opposite and be a little too immature and whimpy.
I am looking forward to reading book 2 Magic Sight.
Great start to a series
