Why wasn't this edited?

The message is there and I could see the book being helpful. Unfortunately the quality of the narration leaves a lot to be desired. The actual reading feels rushed and the words mumbled or muffled. Regarding the recording quality : At one point I heard random laughing and talking in the background which wouldn't have been that noticeable if it hadn't clearly distracted Mr. Brumm, who then clears his throat (perhaps in an attempt to get the talkative group to be quiet?) it worked but not well...wish they had edited this.

I can't get past the white noise in the background

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I couldn't get past the washer/dryer/fan noise in the background of the narrator and the constant smacking of his lips and sucking on his spit between pauses in reading.

Would you be willing to try another book from Christian Chasmer? Why or why not?

Perhaps. If there was a different narrator maybe?

I Wish I Could Get My Money Back

Rehashed material. It is just quotes from other books. Worst narration I have ever heard.

Concise and holistic, but nothing new.

PRO: short and concise. Centralizes learnings into one book and covers the primary points.

CON: nothing new. Doesn't address the challenges associated.

Full of cliches and quotes

This is more of a booklet than an actual book. The author claims to have been studying limiting beliefs for "over 5 years" and constantly mentions how at he's worked with SO many millionaires, but there is little of substance in this book. And although the phrase "limiting beliefs" is prolific in the text, he obviously knows nothing about what they really are and what to do about them.

Take out the cliches and quotations and it wouldn't even be a booklet, maybe a tri-fold pamphlet. If someone has NEVER read a book or heard a speaker about personal development, they might find it of value, but otherwise, it was a waste of an hour of my time.

In summary:
1. Find your why - goals, goals, goals. Make a personal vision statement. Put it on the wall and refer to it regularly.
2. Know you cannot fail - Keep on keeping on and you'll eventually succeed.
3. Create positive habits - Power of positive thinking. Nod to the 4 agreements.
4. Law of attraction - choose your friends and heroes wisely. You're the sum of your 5 closest friends.
5. Continuous growth - become a lifelong learner.

There, I saved you $3 for the audiobook and an hour of your time in the 30 seconds it took you to read this review.

The narrator was terrible. Spoke really, really fast like he was trying to win a race. Also, Aristotle is now a southern gal named Aristot Lee. Who knew?

Unprofessional

Unprofessional recording which I could have overlooked if it had valuable information. Sad stories about himself and how he over came it from such rough beginnings. nothing new of value to recommend to anyone.

Useful and Concise

I really enjoyed this book. It's refreshing to listen to a short book where you don't get lost in a sea of semi-related content. Of course, it is not ground breaking material - but it is a great reminder of what to focus on, neatly packed in a digestible format.

I had read negative reviews about the audio not being edited and I would say this: it's a small mishap that lasts 10 seconds and does not affect the overall experience. On the contrary, it makes it sound like you are sat across the narrator, and that he is human. So I wouldn't let that influence your decision of giving the book a shot.

Go ahead and take action to break your limiting beliefs - it's worth the work!

material recycled and narrator speaks too fast

unfortunately material is recycled. back story very interesting. narrator speaks uncomfortably fast. that said, likely would be good for someone younger.
