Story
Every day, all over the world, an increasing number of people are reporting near-death experiences (NDEs) and other related phenomena. This audiobook is a collection of the best stories and quotes I have come across in 40-plus years of studying NDEs. It shines a bright light on the universal truths that are championed by NDEs and reveals, in life-changing technicolor, how to apply these truths to our everyday lives. This book was first published under the title Love the Person You’re With.

We tend to think of meditation as a formal practice we block time out for each day. But what if every moment of your life was your meditation? For Eckhart Tolle, meditation shouldn't be approached as a chore or a means to an end. Rather, meditation is something that you live. "The aim of meditation," states Eckhart, "is that it eventually becomes your normal state of consciousness." Essential Meditations with Eckhart Tolle points the way toward this quiet, constant state of Presence - where practice gives way to the realization of your innermost identity.

Superb Insight Into Indian Life and Spirituality
- By meredith on 29-06-2015
Publisher's Summary
Deepak Chopra has touched millions of readers and listeners by demystifying our deepest spiritual concerns while retaining their poetry and wonder. Now he turns to the most profound mystery: What happens after we die? Is this one question we were not meant to answer, a riddle whose solution the universe keeps to itself? Chopra tells us there is abundant evidence that "the world beyond" is not separated from this world by an impassable wall; in fact, a single reality embraces all worlds, all times and places. At the end of our lives we "cross over" into a new phase of the same soul journey we are on right this minute.
In Life After Death, Chopra draws on cutting-edge scientific discoveries and the great wisdom traditions to provide a map of the afterlife. It's a fascinating journey into many levels of consciousness. But far more important is his urgent message: Who you meet in the afterlife and what you experience there reflect your present beliefs, expectations, and level of awareness. In the here and now you can shape what happens after you die.
By bringing the afterlife into the present moment, Life After Death opens up an immense new area of creativity. Ultimately there is no division between life and death - there is only one continuous creative project. Chopra invites us to become cocreators in this subtle realm, and as we come to understand the one reality, we shed our irrational fears and step into a numinous sense of wonder and personal power.
Critic Reviews
"A must read for everyone who will die." (Candace B. Pert, Ph.D., author of Molecules of Emotion)
"Chopra presents a fascinating account of life after death for Westerners that will certainly please his avid fans and draw in new readers as well." (Publishers Weekly)

One of the best books by Deepak Chopra
'Life After Death' is a great summary on age old Eastern Philosophy and Contemporary Science on life, components of life, consciousness and death. Shishir Kurup's narration made it interesting too. I will strongly recommend it to anyone who has embarked on a journey to know and understand themselves and the universe surrounding them.

Excellent
Excellent job by narrator. Extremely enlightening and informative information provided from Deepak Chopra. I bought this download after the death of my brother to use as a tool to help me develope and get a better understanding of my own beliefs on what happens to the soul after it leaves the human body. It was a good decision and great buy, for sure.

Deepak's a Master - and a HUGE help to me
I used to buy Deepak's paper-bound books until my eyes became so problematic that Audible became a real life-saver. Bless 'em for always carrying such a fine selection, of which this book is a serious stand-out, it's so well written, has so much to express and brought answers to me at a time I desperately need them, as I willl be finding out for myself soon what life holds after death. As anyone can imagine, I had questions, even with a solid and comfortable orthodox Jewish religion supporting me. Perhaps the nicest part is that Deepak never steps on toes, never calls into question a different belief's tenents or dogma. I suppose the best referrel I can give this wonderful book is that, while toward the end -- it did give me some things to think about, it also left me comforted and in full belief that there is, indeed, existence after death, and along with an old friend "Seth", the spiritual enitity channeled by Jane Roberts in the 70's, intimates that, at least at first, the afterlife looks about the way we either expect it to look, or desire it to. With the exception of those poor souls looking forward to a "hell", or expecting 47 virgin girls as a reward for murdering Jews, the rest of us may be able to expect a restful period where we can collect our thoughts, rexamine our lives and perhaps make plans for the next. Meeting Abraham or Mose, or Jesus or whomever would also seem to be in the realm of possibility, although Deepak didn't elaborate on the religious aspects, as can be expected - nor would I have wanted him to. He's just one of our most gifted authors and a force in my life. I don't see how anyone with an open mind and a real desire to listen to lovely possibilities that sound of pure logic, and in any case are backed up by loads of research could not enjoy this book. The narrator did a fine job, though I prefer Deepak's voice, myself. I trust no other author, (other than G-d) more than Deepak Chopra -- even with my life; and death. DALevit

Inspired discussion of death meaning
An amazing book. Very well written and beautiful language used throughout. The ideas expressed were not dramatically new to me but it was so well expressed. I was member of a book discussion group that used this as it's theme last year and it was very viable for this use. So many varied concepts ON every page. Highly recommend this book...colleen

A Big Picture distillation of continuing existence
Very enjoyable narration. I loved the slight accent of the narrator, clear and intelligent voice, and especially his switching to various "American" accents when reading people's experiences being quoted. The best part was when he did the parrot's voice. Very fun.
Deepak Chopra and Tom Campbell (My Big TOE) have a lot in common. There were many times throughout this audio book that I recognized they were saying the same thing, but just using different words
With regard to the negative reviews I read before purchasing this book, I feel that those people would have probably enjoyed the books that tell individual stories of NDE, OBE, or Life Between Lives and that this book is more enjoyable for those of us who have read many of those books already, and now this is more a contemplation of the forest rather than a look at each tree.
Especially enjoyable were the recent works by other authors and researchers discussed, showing that Deepak Chopra is in touch with current lines of thought and considers and distills information and discusses the significance. Too often I have read books and listened to talks by authors and researchers and when they are asked about others doing similar work they have no idea who the other person is and what they have accomplished. In a way, that is good so their work is only theirs, but what a shame that these people who have so much in common have never met. It is delightful how Deepak Chopra ties ideas together, and also gives credit and shines a light on others' work too.

Perfect sense. Illuminating!
Comforting and lasting awareness through both story and documented scientific studies. The last few chapters particularly enriched my life view. The confusion and burden of doubts that led me to find this book are entirely lifted. I feel blessed to have found this book and will return to it again and again, no doubt; for it's richness is many layered.

Any additional comments?
If you have lost someone or wonder what will happen after this life this is the best book I have ever listened to and the narrator Shishir Kurup is so amazing, a real story teller, a total entertainment. I've read a few books from Chopra and I like them but for me this is the best :)

Life After Death: The Burden of Proof
Would you consider the audio edition of Life After Death to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version, but this audio version is brought to life by Shishir Kurup, who should narrate all of Deepak Chopra's books!
Any additional comments?
This is a thought provoking book, as has already been mentioned, and, like other reviewers, I am no stranger to some of the philosophy discussed. However, this is a book of many facets; the philosophy is interspersed with both psychological reasearch and Indian traditional tales. Shishir Kurup narrates beautifully, unusually for Audible. I was disappointed to reach the end.
