Publisher's Summary

Thomas always enjoyed kingdom/city simulation games. When he discovers there is a kingdom building expansion to the hugely popular VRMMORPG Lewd Saga, he is determined to join the sensual fantasy game and build his destiny.

Thomas becomes Edric Temple, summoner and adventurer, searching for others to help build a kingdom while a war rages across all of Lukken.

The player slowly realizes Lewd Saga is more than just a fantasy game. Dark plots, torn hearts, and medieval politics will place the young summoner in the eye of the storm between guilds, troll masters and what his heart truly desires.

Can Edric keep his new friends and fledgling kingdom together as the forces of darkness threaten to destroy everything they created?

Lewd Saga is a Virtual MMORPG, based in the fantasy world of Lukken, home of dragon royalty, human kingdoms, and troll masters. Players quest, grow their abilities, join in great battles and find love and lust in whatever form they desire. There is no taboo too great or too intimate.

Loved the narrator so sultry.

Story line is cool maybe a bit more of village folk need to get involved and caught.

A wonderful, steamy story ..

I have read all of the Lewd Saga series, and was thrilled, and perhaps a bit curious, to learn Lewd Kingdoms would be coming to audio. And this did not disappoint!! I knew I had loved the story, ranging from the wonderful, dynamic characters all going through the highs and lows of their lives both real and virtual. However, I have to commend Jane Tate, as the narration was fantastic and she really knocked it out of the park. As a gamelit type of book, there are portions of character stats, etc.. but they are brief and handled well throughout the narration. Well done!!

Great world and story

This story is great, yeah there's sex like 7 scenes of it, but they all fit into the flow of the story imo. The world and the character's in it are fun. I'm glad that the first book focused more on the in game life rather then the irl. though I would like the stat summery to be a bit shorter unless there is a change or just have the MC not check it as much.

Great concept, questionable execution

Let me start by saying that this is an adult harem story. That part of the overall story is fairly good. The actual rest of the story, you know - when the characters aren't engaged in sex, was too predictable and uninteresting. The world of the actual book is hard to get into when it feels like it steps on it's own feet. This creates a lot of disconnects and continuity errors for things the story has already stated. In addition, the dialogue between characters felt poorly timed and fake, like it was just stating things to move on to the next sex scene. That said, the concept of the book itself is cool and has a lot of potential; however, everything outside a sex scene was hard to listen to and wasn't executed well. I will also say that the voice actor for this story was good and I enjoyed her performance.

A little bit naughty a whole lot of nice

Lewd Kingdoms is, of all the books I’m reviewing today the one that pretty much has sex in it just for sex’s sake. I’m not saying that in a negative way, only that each book is different and the sex, which if you haven’t noticed by now, all have different reasons for being in their respective books. So, since this is the naughty special I’m going to talk about the sexy stuff first here, and then dive into the meat, ahem, of the story. There is a lot of sex in the story. That might be why the title has the word LEWD in it. Just sayin. However, the amount of sex is more expected and therefore is not distracting to the tale at all. In fact, you sort of get to a point where you anticipate it happening. I’m not talking like in a porno where the doorbell rings and the hot dog delivery guy shows up and suddenly realizes that he’s not only forgotten the hot dogs, but also the mustard and he has to make it up to the sorority girls who were about to have a hot dog eating contest. Wait. I have to ask what kind of porn my son is watching. I caught him viewing it on his phone, and he said he was just doing research for culinary school. Hmmmm. Any way, it doesn’t have that kind of a feel to it, but you do see it coming and if you are an adult and enjoy that sort of stuff, then you will love the descriptive voice that is used. It’s a lot like a jalapeno, hot and spicy, but only adding to the texture of the rest of the book. So, you see that it isn’t overwhelming and enhances the overarching tale. As for the story itself follows a cat named Edric Temple, who leads a life of adventure while trying to deal with a war and building a kingdom. This means life at easy, but it can be fun. There were several aspects that I really enjoyed, such as the city building. It sort of reminded me of Tamer, where they are very slowly building a citadel as the harem grows. Even in Life Reset, where they slowly build a village in the same vein as the original Warcraft game. I never realized that I would find that sort of stuff so entrancing, but it work for me. That was a real bonus. The story has a very nice pace to it, and the characters are pretty well developed. Now, forgive me if I am wrong on this, but I only deal with audiobooks, so I am not sure but this feel like it is part of a bigger series. I don’t know why we started at this point, but I’m glad we did. Edric is a cool character and an MC I didn’t mind following around. This story might cover a little rough area, such as some voyeuristic stuff with some possible unwilling participants, but in the overall scheme of things I didn’t find this to be nearly as strong as Fostering Faust was. Oh, and one thing I really appreciated was that even though there is a lot of sex, there really wasn’t a ton of focus on romance. Sometimes, the whole I love every woman in my harem thing stretches credulity, and sometimes it is just enough to have the hot dog delivery guy do his business and move along to the next house in need of some weiners. Like I said, the story has a nice plot, good pacing and cool characters. That only leaves me to discuss the narration, and I have to say that Jane Tate does a nice job. What I really thought she did well was to keep each sentence flowing into the next. She did not read this one sentence at a time like I hear so often. She has a pleasant voice, and uses it effectively. This actually looks to be her first work, unless she is using an alias. If so, the only negative thing I have to say is that she does read this a bit fast for me, she had the flow, but just needs to nail the pacing. Otherwise startlingly solid work from a first timer. My final score? I had to think on this because I didn’t dislike anything about this story, and I thought it was a solid bit of work. I like Eden’s style, and think she can write a story and can write sex, and she can write a story with sex in it. Not everyone can do that last part. So, my final score for the night is an 8 star all the way. I’d really like to see some of the older stuff hit the audible shelves in the future. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. Getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review. If this review helped, please press the YES below. Thank you immensely!!! As seen on the LITRPG AUDIOBOOK PODCAST, please check it out on Youtube.com

name is not a play on words

i bought this book on a whim thinking it would be another somewhat inocent story with a title that was a play on words. Boy was i wrong. this author loves their sexual scenes. so much that i felt unconfortable listening to the almost 30 minutes of one such encounter. other then that the story was supprisingly good. there was not a ton of stat pages like some litrpg and that was a welcome change. i would have liked to hear a bit more about the real world but that in no way took away from the story. i likely will not be picking up the next in this series due to how uncomfortable it made me feel but that is a personal preference. the narator was amazing and did a very good job distinguishing voices (i knew who was talking simply by the voice she used.) tldr: great story but very much "lewd"

Smut for cucks...

Everything is just a game. I don't care about any of the characters, because it's a game. Anything that happens in this book doesn't matter because there is no penalty, no life or death situations, no risk of getting hurt, because you can just log out anytime. (Note that I have only listened to the first 4 hours, things might change later) This sort of story needs some way to make you feel for the characters, and the world they live in. Making it a normal (porn)game does not do that. Now say, if the author wrote that it was a death game, or that the mc is stuck in the game somehow, or that mc got teleported to a world with game like mechanics, or something along those lines. That would make threats to the characters be "real" *Edit* I'm going to change the rating to one star, and return this book. I really didn't want to hear a detailed sex scene between one of the main girls (and one of the MCs romantic interests) and a random troll diplomat... Interesting way to make me more invested in the characters, but in completely the wrong way... I'm really disappointed in this book... *Minor spoilers below* For instance, when the town he was in got attacked, a NPC that he liked (and the reader just heard about) got killed, he became depressed, and he is still depressed about it much later in the book. I as a reader didn't get to know the NPC, and therefore can't feel anything for them. And later in the same chapter, the MC is about to die as well, and still I didn't care, because he will just respawn later... Fights and conflict loose their meaning if there are no repercussions.

The devils in the details

With the first installment of the series, it has a good starting point. A diverse character pool to pull from adds a lot of potential for good/great future content. The thing I would've liked to see more of was in the plot details and also in the irems themselves.

good story, would recommend it.

i loved the story. it had kingdom building, adventuring and an interesting story that kept me listening non stop from beginning to the end. the narrator also did a great job of making the characters come to live. so i would recommend it. it has a lot of sexual content in it, but if you open the page of a story called lewd kingdoms and don't expect that...

Good Start and End but the middle was a bit crap.

The story is of three parts, world building start. Sexy middle and world building/action filled end. The middle started out well, but then it contiued to be near continuous f€£$ing for a few hours. I'm all for a bit of adult action, but I'd prefer it was spaced out. each scene could have been shorter as well. I doubt I'll pick up the second one if it ever surfaces on here, which is a shame as I love a good city builder book, but that part felt rushed to pack in more sex.
