About this listen

The idyll of Blandings Castle is about to be disturbed, for the Hon. Freddie Threepwood is poised to make his debut as a jewel thief. Freddie, however, is not alone: Blandings is simply brimming with criminals and impostors all intent on stealing Aunt Constance's 20,000 pound diamond necklace. It is left to the debonair Psmith, with his usual aplomb, to unscramble the passion, problems, and identities, of one and all.©2014 P.G. Wodehouse (P)2014 Audible, Inc. Fun characters and a delightful tale. This story is well performed and easy to listen to.

Can I marry Psmith?

Psmith is Wodehouse at his purest.
And Cecil is a national treasure.

Of all Wodehouse's scribblings, I return to his Psmith stories most frequently and to Cecil's narrations most comfortably.

Sparkling story and performance

I love Psmitj. His language and turn of phrase never fail to amuse and this narrator captures him perfectly. I listen to the 4 Psmiths regularly. The stories are ridiculous and a perfect backdrop for the equally ridiculous characters.

Almost poetry
