About this listen

Does loving yourself seem unreachable? Feeling crushed by harsh self-judgments and suffocated by self-hatred?

You may be surprised at how simple loving yourself again (or for the first time) can be.

If you're sick and tired of the "just think positive thoughts" approach and hungry for something substantial that works long-term, you're in the right place.

Self-hatred and self-loathing can destroy careers, relationships, marriages, friendships, dreams, faith and spirituality, passions, and all the other good things in life.

If you want to experience happiness and a satisfying life, then learning to love yourself is necessary. In this book you'll learn exactly how to do just that.

You'll get:

  • specific steps to follow, leaving nothing to guesswork
  • practical self-love strategies you can implement here and now with no fuss
  • ways to bust out of negative thinking in a matter of seconds
  • the tools to easily handle overwhelming and scary emotions
  • a free downloadable "cheat sheet" so you're never stranded on Emotional Island again
  • mindset adjustments that will give you the confidence you can handle anything that comes your way
  • the security that comes with finally understanding what self-love is and how to experience it
  • guidance to glide through blocks and sticking points

This guide gets right down to the heart of the matter, not spending any time on superfluous or filler material.

Obviously this is a two-hour read and not a several-hour read or a 20-hour read, but for what it is I think this book is actually really great. Straight-forward without being superficial or simplistic, practical while also explaining in terms of concepts/emotions why different steps are helpful. Some good stories of the author's personal experiences mixed in. I've listened to some other 2-hour books and found them so superficial they're useless, or so simplistic that they utterly warp the concepts that they're dealing with. But I found this one direct, to the point, grounded in practice, and realistic. Strong recommend for anyone looking for a short read, to ground 'loving yourself' in practicality. I've read several much more substantive books on trauma healing, attachment theory, and addiction... honestly they were all great for my understanding but this has been the most useful in terms of practical steps. Also, some books give only practical examples with no unifying explanation that explains them in terms of some sort of 'general gist', which personally I also find really frustrating - like I have to remember each and every example in order to apply what the book says without there being any 'general gist' that I can understand or get a sense of and apply myself. Or the book gives theory without any idea of how to put it into practice. This book was a really great balance of those two things, because it explains why the practical strategies are effective, so that you understand the emotional mechanics of what's happening. I love that it gives a conceptual emotional explanation, so you can sort of emotionally understand what's happening - it explains why the practical tips work, in terms of emotional realities. Strong recommend.

Good straightforward practical steps with explanations
