About this listen

He's your perfect date. You're his next victim.

When the tortured body of a young woman is found in a dumpster, her eyes swollen shut and her clothes soaked with blood, detective Erika Foster is one of the first at the crime scene. The trouble is, this time it's not her case.

While she fights to secure her place on the investigation team, Erika can't help but get involved and quickly finds a link to the unsolved murder of a woman four months earlier. Dumped in a similar location, both women have identical wounds - a fatal incision to the femoral artery.

Stalking his victims online, the killer is preying on young pretty women using a fake identity. How will Erika catch a murderer who doesn't seem to exist?

Then another girl is abducted while waiting for a date. Erika and her team must get to her before she becomes another dead victim and come face to face with a terrifyingly sadistic individual.

Gripping, tense, and impossible to turn off, Last Breath will have you on the edge of your seat until the final dramatic moment.

Another spine tingling thriller from the amazing mind of Robert Bryndza. It's a scary roller coaster ride into the mind of a serial killer, Detective Erika Foster is relentless, focus, driven in her campaign to catch psychotic killer who preys on young women. Jan Cramer is outstanding as always in her narrative, I believed that a great narrator makes the difference and she didn't disappoint. I couldn't stop listening, it's addictive.

Yes I will certainly read from this author again. As much as I love the Audible books I think it would be so much better if there was more than one narrator. Depending on the number and sex of the characters in the book. A minimum of three like two women and one male or two men and one woman. Erika sounded great but the other female characters came out as little girls voices. It must be so hard for one narrator to do justice to so many voices. Still it was a good book and I did enjoy it.

Great Read

The author does not seem to know first aid and first respoder actions. In real life scenes with first aid given by trained police officers and responses by ambulance officers is not how it would happen in real life. The lack of in-house editors by publishing houses is showing up. A good editor would have told the Editor to fix those. It does not change the good story though. A+ for narration.

great read/listen but...
