Story
Thoughts and moods are chemical reactions in your brain that you might think you are powerless to control. But modern science has shown beyond doubt that changing your behaviour and thought patterns can rewire the neurological pathways of your brain to literally change how you think, feel and view yourself. In The Neuroscience of Self-Love, Alexis Fernandez-Preiksa takes the theory out of neuroscience and gives you practical tools and exercises to create a new self that is happier, more balanced and less dependent on others for validation.

Story
There's this weird gap in life that's fuelled by cheap tacos and even cheaper tequila - also known as our 20s. It's a specific limbo of being suspended between being a teenager and a 'Proper Adult' and though it's wildly confusing, often lonely, sometimes embarrassing and frequently daunting, there's also a whole lot of magic to be found in the chaos. It's a time when we're finding our own voices, cementing our relationships and starting to fulfil our big ambitions (or simply just working out what they are).

Story
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction,” eating little and weighing herself five times a day. She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income.

Story
For years, Emma Carey was a regular young adult who would wake up and go about their day on autopilot, someone who would look at a sunset and feel unaffected, someone who was living, but not really alive. That is, until something happened that enabled her to really see life for the gift it is. Emma was in a skydiving accident that made her a paraplegic. This book is not just about Emma's fall from the sky and how she learned to walk without ever regaining feeling in her legs but also about the beliefs and ideas that helped her survive.

Publisher's Summary
Most of us mosey between single, dating and committed in a half-rapturous, half-tortured loop for a large portion of our lives.
There's no right or wrong when it comes to love, life and relationships. There are no rules, and there is no normal when it comes to the heart; it's different for each of us, every single time.
But a fresh perspective never hurts, especially if the same shit keeps happening again and again. Thankfully, this audiobook lovingly serves up a few for you to consider.
With her trademark warmth, wit and realism, Australia's favourite relationship advisor, Zoe Foster Blake, is here to benevolently guide you through the murky, magnificent spectrum of love. Love for yourself! A love of being single! Love for the journey of finding love, rather than just the destination! Love for our exes, who all teach us something even if we want to tip them into the ocean! And of course: wholehearted and respectful love for others.
Whether you are gloriously, serenely single, disheartened after a nuclear heartbreak, wedged ungraciously in the friend zone, managing a flock of completely inappropriate Tinder suitors, or profoundly in love and primed for a Major Commitment, this is an indispensable and empowering reference guide to the heart. Listen with an open mind and an open heart.

Excellent Read
I really enjoyed this book- very helpful for my current situation, and will be very helpful to read again and again when things change. My only concern is that it skipped about 4 times during the second half of the book so i'm not sure how much content i missed out on.

Once you go Zoe - you’ll never go back!
After my husband left me after a 7 year relationship - 4 year marriage at the ripe age of 27 years old, I thought my life was over. For at least 3 months - it was, until my sister recommended Zoe’s Break Up Boss App, which I immediately downloaded - I was desperate. Her app saved me. Her app reminded me that I am amazing and that I deserve nothing than the best. I read a quote on her app which said “Pain is inevitable, but suffering was a choice”. It was then, I sat down and said yeah - this bloody hurts but time to pull myself together. I sat and wrote a list of things to look forward too. I went to visit my best friend in Canada - the best! Enrolled back into Uni to become a Forensic Scientist - I was accepted. It felt great to do things for me. Because of all the tools I have been gifted to me by Zoe, I have found my one chancer (listen to or read the book and you’ll know what I’m talking about) and for once I feel like he has found his one chancer - because thanks to Zoe, I finally see that I’m a bloody big deal.
Highly recommend to the broken hearted, the unsure, the curious and to the over-thinkers or any one who wants to listen to a quality book!
Excuse me, I’m off to download more of Zoe’s fantastical books!
Thank you Zoe - from the atriums and ventricles of my heart!

Dynamic narrator and author
Very engaging book - fantastic narrator. A few hiccups where it seems like sentences/sections have been cut out. Mostly great content, - like everything, some parts need to be taken with a grain of salt. Overall love ZFB

This content of this book is great but there are quite a few errors where audio is missing or it skips to another topic without finishing the one it’s on... sloppy.
