When he’s promoted to sergeant and asked to become a leader, he faces a whole new challenge. The Marines are striking deep into enemy territory, and the casualties are mounting.

Cam is torn, knowing his job is to follow orders and carry out the battle plan, even if he doesn’t agree with it. But his squad has become his family, and now he’s being asked to lead his family into battle, knowing it will mean their deaths.

Impatiently waited

And I’ve been rewarded for my wait! What a great addition to this series. Easily Partlow’s best so far. Keep going... go! go! go!

This is a very good series

I've only listened to 2 books by Rick Partlow, but this dude can write. Read one review that basically stated that if you have listened to one sci-fi book you won't miss anything in this series. That's total crap. Being former military, this book has so many elements of military life packed in. None of the idiotic cheese that a lot of writers pack into their books. Tactics that actually sound correct vs crap that other writers come up with. The narration is actually very good. The one thing that drives me crazy is to listen to a military book being presented by a dude who sounds like Mr. Rodgers reading a children's story. Not this book. The one ask is that the author would go into more detail in the area of the space battles, but that lack doesn't take away from the story.

Better then the last, and that was good too!

Just read the title veeeery good book. 10/10 and the narrator did fantastic too. The story continues and though there are parts that make you want to scream and cry, its more then worth the full listen.

Enjoyed it

This was a good story, I enjoyed the pace of the plot and I liked how RP didn’t stick me with a ton of boring details. The narrator did an awesome job keeping me involved with his energy. His Australian accent was pretty good and the fact that the captain of the platoon sounded suspiciously like Jack Nicholson/John Wayne lol. I dug it! I’m getting ready to start the third book and I hope it’s as good as one and two.

Middle of the road

I don't get how it's so hard to reward people who do good work. The author writes the MC in dangerous situations and he does heroic things to survive, but putting him in for a silver star or Navy cross is unheard of. I get it he's not looking for glory or leadership, but shit put him in for recognition. The other part I don't get is waiting until the indig plants an IED to do something. In one breath you say you don't have the Geneva convention and the other breath you want them to wait to attack the indigs. Several of the team didn't need to die if they just went in first, but we will see the next book. I was going to stop at this one if another point was given command, but we will see in the next.

Good sequel to Contact Front

This books seemed a bit more focused on the details of the battles than the characters, but it still gave good insight to how Alvarez grows mentally. It does make me start to wonder about the Tawney. Their perspective on the human race. Would the author ever consider writing from this perspective?

Kinetic Strike expands Cams story and does so brilliantly. Clever writing, great imaginative details, gritty and a nail biting ride Wonder narration. I was given a copy of this book at my request and am voluntary leaving my review.

Really amazing

The first one was good but felt like it needed another hour or so to bulk out the battles and more character and world building. This one done it. I was so happy. The fighting started and I was shouting and getting engaged with it so much. Really good if you want fast pace good action and building the “universe” of the story
