Great gateway to this UF world
The narrator does a superb job with the range of voices. Her pacing is perfect. She is a pleasure to listen to.
I enjoyed this story very much. This concept is new to me and fascinating, in a gruesome, lacking control way. The ending is the perfect illustration of a magic that initially seems safe but the dangers of which are spoken briefly of throughout the book. This is my second reading of this series and I am happy to be immersed in this world again.

Storyline wasn’t for me, though I can see why people like it. Just not to my taste.
