Sarah Wilson is Australian and writes using informal language. So while her writing makes sense, and is accessible, the narration is grating and doesn’t fit.

Wise advice but American narration with Australian vernacular doesn’t work

this book is excellent, full of practical advice, very useful. the American accent is a bit much for me, but I still really enjoyed it and recommend.

helpful advice

Hated the voice of the narrator.. why chose an American robot sounding narrator for a book like this. Sarah is authentic which is why people relate to her.. what a shame. I cringed through the whole thing

Would have be great is Sarah had narrated

This e-book is pretty solid advice. I must confess I was expecting an Australian accented narrator, and some of the Aussie vernacular sits badly with the dulcet American narration. It took me out of the narration every now and again and I'd be contemplating accents, rather than information.
But as someone who has tried with varying levels of success to quit sugar a few times, this approach is workable for me. I like that Sarah Wilson includes references to the research she has used and that she is honest about the detox process being potentially uncomfortable and difficult. Overall it's pretty solid. It does what it says on the box.
My issue with the narration is a personal preference. She's a good narrator, it just didn't work for me.

Better than I was expecting

I honestly cannot see myself being completely sugar free, but with this knowledge I will be much more careful about what I put into my and my family's bodies.
I also purchased the actual book, great recipes.

Information we should all be aware of.

enjoyed no pressure suggestion to limit sugar intake. It does promote eating a lot of dairy though ...

Some useful pointers with out labouring on it

Amazing information presented in a clear, simple step by step format. This has truly changed the way I look at food.

Fascinating! Loved it.

Really great content/advice, though such a shame it's presented in a structureless way. There's really no way to go back to certain parts of the book for reviewing purposes, as there is no logical sequence or organisation to it. Also really disliked the American narration.

Great content, but no structure

I was expecting a recipe PDF to be included and it is not. This is disappointing.

To listen to an Australian authors book read with such a strong American accent was excruciating!
Apart from that, Sarah Wilsons scientific evidence needs to be more than a 'sneaking suspicion' that sugar was the root of every problem she ever had.

Terrible!
