About this listen
They won the battle. For now. But Junco lost more than she can handle to get that job done. The ancient aliens are returning to Earth and their long-awaited prophecy is about to unfold.
Lucan and his army need Junco to do her job if they have any chance of living through the ancient prophecy. They need her to follow directions and focus.
But Junco’s friends are dead - some of them at her own hand.
Her home is gone, her mind is more unstable than ever, and ghosts from the past are haunting her.
And now she finds out they’ve been lying to her? How could she ever trust anyone again?
Can a girl who was born a monster feel loyalty and love?
Or will she let them all die in the end?
©2015 JA Huss (P)2020 Podium AudioJ A only reveals twists and turns in 'real time' so to speak.
A lot of perspectives are given by all vital characters and it all ties in to how reactions drive the plotline. Not to mention it kept me guessing and listening as to how it all plays out.
There was 4 narrators in the final books which added vitality to the different characters and added some depth to each mindset.
Like I mentioned earlier, it was a long listen to this total series and with each book the plot just thickens. There is very little reprieve and J A just pushes you further down the rabbit hole.
I found it's not a story one can listen to with only half an ear as it's very easy to miss important revelations that explains how the plotline plays out.
There was little romance and scant steam but the space aliens, the action and suspense, mixing in with mystery and angst, was enough to keep listening past a chapter or 2 they seemed to drag happenings to a minimum.
Junco was an intense, complicated heroine and I was amazed at how
J A managed to put her thoughts and actions on paper.
There were times I so wanted to smack or shake her.
By the end of the book I just knew things were going to work out. Although J A is always a suprise.
If you enjoy this author then dive in.
It's a space opera and I started listening to 'sick heart " which is dark and gritty. Shorter in length I got an understanding of a J A's unique writing style so I listened to junco with my mind open and welcomed the rabbit hole
answers at last. rabbit hole starting to ascend
