    Revolutionary

This book has been a paradigm shift for my views on dating and relationships. It has completely changed the way I approach my love life. The many lasting friendships I made with members of the opposite sex, as a result of following the program outlined in this book, has been a phenomenal and enriching experience. The lessons and insights to be found in this book are invaluable, and it is a shame that many people will enter into doomed relationships merely due to never having the chance to learn these valuable insights.

A must read for anyone that's in dating mode...

...simple to follow instructions to getting into a better dating situation. He gives a great picture and diagnosis of why many people don't have success with dating, and a few good strategies for developing the skill.

I did not give it five stars because:
    - it seems like most of the book is written for women. Men need help too, and in many cases more than women
    - the advice given to men is a bit simplistic. Go out and talk to more women. Really? It really is that simple bit the mental blocks need to be addressed before action takes place.

This is not an unabriged book

The book has good ideas. But please be aware that this is definitely not an unabridged book. It's about the same length as the abridged version. It's no where near 4 hours long.

    changed my life

This book changed my life. As a Christian girl I was under the impression that dating was something totally different. If I had known this 5 years ago. I would be a different person today.

    Everyone should read this book

If everyone read and followed this book people would be happier and better off, especially in regards to dating and finding lasting love. I wish I had read this book before I started dating--it probably would have saved me from making a lot of mistakes.

    Life-changing book

This book has been changing my life. I went through the second part slowly, only because it was so much, I had to take time to process it and work through all the stuff. Thank you so much, Dr. Cloud. I'm seriously putting this to practice.

Get your numbers up - That's the whole book

This book should have been titled "Dating: It's a numbers game" and the entirety of the book would have been four words. Get. Your. Numbers. Up.

Seriously. The entire premise of this book is: do whatever it takes, talk to as many people as possible, go out on as many dates as possible, even if you're not interested or your beliefs don't aline just go out anyways. If you go on enough date eventually one of them is bound to be one worth keeping. Hahaha, Thanks for the help.

This book gives no advice on how to actually get a date with someone whom you already believe might be worth keeping, or how to evaluate if a date is worth keeping.

The Performance rating is based on Adam Black's job at reading/ narrating the book. He did a fine job, it was very listenable.

insightful and clear advice on dating

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this book highly. I think it provides clear, realistic advice. Empowering advice. As you go throught it, the author provides the biblical basis for the advice. As a Christian I value this. I don't think, though, that it will get in the way of any non Christian enjoying, understanding and benefitting from the advice (speaking as someone who was a non Christian for a large part of my life).
