Ought to be compulsory reading.

I was a huge fan of 'How Not to Die' so when I saw this new iteration I bought it straight away.

There is, of course, some crossover here from 'How Not to Die' but the topic and approach are quite different and, where the topics converge, updates are given which are worth knowing.

The format of the book, for those who don't know, is one where Dr Greger poses or is posed a question and then explores studies conducted relevant to that topic. A large emphasis is placed on evaluating the efficacy and methodology of the experiments done and then exploring what lessons can be gleaned from them.

Now, I wrote above "Ought to be compulsory reading" and I chose my words carefully. Dr Gregers voice and reading style are certainly not for everybody. I found myself slightly annoyed with him at the start of the book, but i quickly became fond of his quirky style.

Do yourself a favour and buy it. On audible or elsewhere, it will have something in it you will want to know.

Comprehensive and reassuring

This is the last weight loss book you'll need to buy. Full of actionable, science based recommendations and it doesn't sugar coat any of the conclusions. Found it very reassuring on my path to improve health.

Fascinating

This was such an interesting book to read and so amazing to learn about the body and how it operates. I am not a big science person because I find it difficult to understand but I really felt like i was able to understand things, he made it simple and so interesting without dumbing it down. So much humour in it as well, made me laugh a number of times and I feel as if I have some secret info now which has really helped me and I’ve been telling everyone I know of different things you can do to lose weight. A great book, definitely a must read!

If you are serious about healthy eating you have come to the right place.

After reading many (10+) books regarding dieting, nutrition, healthy eating and weight loss I can safely say that this is by far the most comprehensive, evidence based book in the matter. Furthermore, it is narrated in a very engaging manner. Highly recommend it if you are looking to improve your eating habits.

How I am educating my family

The book is information heavy and doesn’t start quite like I expected, but when I break it down into lesson plans for my kids homeschool there is enough for their entire High school curriculum. Plus their friends listen to it when I am in charge of car pooling and it starts great conversations ♥️ my nay saying hubby even sees the sense in it. Looking forward to not dieting ♥️ will listen over and over. Thanks team 🥦🥦

Super informative

I really enjoyed this! Very interesting, practical no- nonsense information with explanations of all the studies to back up the science. It took a little while to get used to the Author narrating but stick with it, his knowledge is amazing and I look forward to listening to more of his work.

Another great factual book

Both How Not To Die and How Not To Diet are great sources of fact, delivered without bias.

Dr Greger’s delivery is perfect and relatable, making the science interesting and not robotic
