The stilted narration makes the story so hard to enjoy. I have picked up and put down the book so many times. The idea of the story is great. But it feels like it is a poor translation. Then the over emphasis on every sentence in a repetitive way gives no depth to the story. There isn’t flow. It’s like every sentence is its own paragraph.
