From best-selling author Bob Rotella, America's preeminent sports psychologist, a groundbreaking guide to success in all aspects of life - not just sports - from business to relationships to personal challenges of every variety.

Acclaimed sports psychologist Bob Rotella has advised everyone from professional golfers to NBA superstars to business executives on how to flourish under pressure and overcome challenges. Now, for the first time, he's distilled his decades of in-depth research and practical experience into a potential-unlocking guide for everyone.

This exciting audiobook is not a collection of Rotella's theories; it consists of performance principles that have proven themselves in countless competitive situations, in arenas from which only the strongest minds emerge triumphant. It's a book full of insights that you can learn and use the next morning - in the office, the classroom, or wherever your quest takes you - told not in abstractions, but through case studies and stories drawn from Rotella's years teaching sports psychology, counseling athletes, and consulting for Fortune 500 companies. It explores how to keep the mind from holding you back, whatever your physical gifts or other talents. It's about how to make a commitment, how to persevere, how to deal with failure - and how to train your mind to create a self-image that promotes confidence and accomplishment.

Any successful life starts with how you see yourself. And with these pearls of wisdom from the nation's preeminent sports psychologist, you can learn to achieve the success of your dreams.

Not just for golfers

This book made a lot of sense to me. Some great insights and critical assessments of champions versus those who struggle to realise their potential were particularly helpful.

MUST HAVE

This is absolutly essential with your sporting endevours, especically in Golf (golf focused but applies to all sports). If you're a young person making your way into life an absolute must. Really works on explaining about the process to succeed and not replying on a certain result, the result will take care of itself

Awesome!

I'm an elite athlete of 10 years training age and this was totally awesome! Instant performance results. It's golf heavy, so I just adapted to my own sport when necessary. Very informative and the best phycology book I've ever read outside Uni. Fully worth it. Read it 3 times already.

A good purchase.

I listen to a lot of sports psychology books during my commute. I am training for extreme distance triathlons. This book did heavily focus on golf. It did, however, touch on other sports. Either way, the concepts in this book will work for any sport, or any athlete. It was a great purchase and the narrator/author did an exceptional job narrating.

It’s good for the most part

This has a fantastic message but the narrator talks so quiet In some sections it’s hard to hear him. He also goes into WAY TOO MUCH detail with golf and baseball when giving examples. I know nothing about either game so when he does the message goes right over my head it almost takes away from the book. It could be a better book if he didn’t do that . Would have cut down on so much time too. Oh well, that what you can get and leave the rest.

Repetitive yet powerful

This book reaffirmed many powerful principles. There's isn't much in this book that I think a lot of people don't inherently know, but it is articulated well and refreshing to hear out loud, especially since so few really apply it.
For this reason, I forgive when it gets repetitive (and it does).

With that, my favorite part was hearing stories of champions like John Calipari and Vince Lombardi and their thought process that seemed counterintuitive.

Overall, it is an inspiring book that I believe will set anyone up for success if applied. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a better mentality and/or increased confidence.

AWESOME BOOK BY AN EXPERIENCED PRO

I'm so glad Bob wrote this book.
It is PACKED with years of experience and chapters of tips that I captured through bookmarking.
I'm totally not a golfer but it doesn't matter - his examples are universal.
I highly recommend this book.
