Die Welt ist im Wasser versunken. Der Stadtkern Berlins ist innerhalb einer gigantischen Mauer verschont geblieben. Fünf Menschen leben darin, fünf "Ewige", die jeden Sommer den anreisenden "Fremden" die alte Welt zeigen und ihr Wissen weitergeben.
