About this listen
National Best Seller
An up-close portrait of the mind of an addict and a life unraveled by narcotics - a memoir of captivating urgency and surprising humor that puts a human face on the opioid crisis.
“Raw, brutal, and shocking. Move over, Orange Is the New Black.” (Amy Dresner, author of My Fair Junkie)
When word got out that Tiffany Jenkins was withdrawing from opiates on the floor of a jail cell, people in her town were shocked. Not because of the 20 felonies she’d committed, or the nature of her crimes, or even that she’d been captain of the high school cheerleading squad just a few years earlier, but because her boyfriend was a Deputy Sherriff, and his friends - their friends - were the ones who’d arrested her.
A raw and twisty, pause resisting memoir that sounds like fiction, High Achiever spans Tiffany’s life as an active opioid addict, her 120 days in a Florida jail where every officer despised what she’d done to their brother in blue, and her eventual recovery. With heart-racing urgency and unflinching honesty, Jenkins takes you inside the grips of addiction and the desperate decisions it breeds. She is a born storyteller who lived an incredible story, from blackmail by an ex-boyfriend to a soul-shattering deal with a drug dealer, and her telling brims with suspense and unexpected wit. But the true surprise is her path to recovery. Tiffany breaks through the stigma and silence to offer hope and inspiration to anyone battling the disease - whether it’s a loved one or themselves.

“Raw, brutal and shocking. Move over, Orange Is the New Black. There’s a new bitch in town.” (Amy Dresner, author of My Fair Junkie)
“A great read for fans of Orange is the New Black, this national bestseller provides a shocking and propulsive look into the life of an addict.... Jenkins breaks down the stigma around drug addiction and recovery in her first book, giving readers a story that is both joyous and heartbreaking.” (BookBub)

Amazing story
Fantastic story. I listened to it while I spent time driving between clients for work. I didn't even notice the kilometres passing. I laughed and cried along with her as I listened.

Intriguing, personal, but a bit hard to follow
Enjoyed the openness Tiffany has as she shared her story. I did find it a bit hard to follow with the time shifts (from present to past and back again), which might be easier to follow in print.

Hooked from the beginning
Easy to listen to, the story came to life as she spoke. I felt I was there the whole ride, urging her to get better, wondering what was going to happen next. I fell in love with Tiffany like a sister.

amazing book!
first, I have been following tiff for years on social media and love her! when i saw this book for some reason i didnt recognise the name but needed to get this book and it took a few moments to realise who it was when I heard tiff talking. I really felt like I was there in every moment! I laughed, cried and felt the joy as tiff told her amazing story. I've been and I still am a support person for many people in my family and this has helped me understand addiction and has given me hope that one day my family will one day find their way back to the light, back on the path they were ment to be on. Thank you tiffany for sharing your story xx

wow
I have followed Tiffany for a few years on her social media, mainly for her videos as I feel I can relate to her raw truth as a woman. I knew of her addiction but not of its depth and despair. What an amazing tale of perseverance and evolution as a person.
Some of this was hard to hear because i found it so hard to believe that someone so amazing now had done so many damaging things back then.
I LOVE that Tiffany has narrated this herself as it made the connection flow seamlessly and I struggled to turn it off.
Great work Tiffany Jenkins. Your life is truly blessed.
I hope 'Elliott ' and his family have been able to move on from the past and lead fantastic lives.

Addiction does not discriminate
As just coming out of my 2nd rehab stint for opiate abuse. Tiffany explains addiction perfectly. Related so close to her story. If you don't understand addiction, and what and why people do this crazy stuff. This is a great insight. Thanks Tiffany, gives me hope.
