Publisher's Summary
The second and final book in the Dirtier Duet by Lisa Renee Jones.
Abbie swore that she was done with rich, powerful men. They've hurt her. They've hurt her mother, whom she will do anything to protect. She's done playing the submissive. She's ready to fight back.
The problem is that Gabe Maxwell is one of those rich, powerful men, and he refuses to be ignored. He's in her path, and she can't seem to steer clear of him. He wants her. She wants him. But it's not that simple. There is more to her story, more than Gabe knows, but then, there is more to Gabe's story than Abbie knows, too.

Everything was good but...
The Abigail character wore thin for me really quick. She was repetitive and kind of dragged. Run away and come back... runaway and come back. I literally started to roll my eyes when ever she did it. Between the two books of this story, she just got annoying. The rest was great.

Personal bias may affect this review
I don’t like stories with abused women pairing up with well-meaning alpha control freaks, and this one hits all those buttons. Along with the extreme angst on the part of both main characters, this story had me cringing a lot. But the overall plot is good and the redemption of both the characters and the animal shelter, plus staying true to Gabe’s mother’s wishes not to kill his dad, made me stay through to the end. I don’t know that it was worth it for Gabe and Abbie’s story; you’ll have to decide that for yourself.

Amazing
What an amazing ending to a great story. Couldn’t wait to see where they were going. Gabe is one amazing living romantic man. Abbie is one lucky amazing woman.

Happy with this ending
I've gone through all this series and this second part of Gabe's story is definitely good. There's finally a release for Gabe and it sure made this reader happy. Both characters are such basically good people that we have to route for them to win and get/stay together. I love how Maxwell family always pulls together to fight together. A definite recommendation to listen or read.

This series is a must listen
I loved continuing with Gabe's story. Abbie was a bit different, and it took me a little bit more to get into her story, she really held back and seemed to be more of a road block. But I enjoyed the listen overall, and Joe Arden and Erin Mallon did a great job at the narration.

This entire series was great until this book
I began following these characters when Royce met, chased and married his wife. I liked all of the characters, especially the men. While most of the women were unusually reluctant and sometimes annoyingly so, I found Abby to be downright stupid and not worth all the hassle. Gabe deserved someone more sensible and open to love.

Blah
All of Lisa Renee jones stories are the same. There’s too much of push and pull. And they are very unrealistic with murders and crime. I’m done listening to her books or reading them. Loved the performers though. Totally obsessed with Erin Mallon. Joe Arden is great but not my favorite.
