Publisher's Summary
Even salvation can be delivered through the love of the damned. Beauty can be a curse. Faith can be a cage. Only love can set you free.
A few long weeks after being reluctantly ripped from the comforting embrace of her sacred prophet's religious commune - the only life she has ever known - a terrified Delilah is thrust into a world enveloped by evil and swimming in sin. Steadfastly devout in her faith, and retaining the deep belief that her soul is innately tarnished as a branded "Cursed woman of Eve", Delilah is determined to find her way home to her people in The Order and away from the corrupt and damned outlaw motorcycle club - The Hades Hangmen - who hold her at their secluded compound for her protection - a 'protection' she strongly resents.
Delilah yearns to return home, convinced that only amongst her own people, and under the holy guidance of the Lord's revealed prophet, can her Satan-spawned soul be truly saved. Conditioned her entire life to believe she is a witch - a life-long temptress, the devil's whore - Delilah increasingly resents her beautiful face, her shapely body, and her sensuous effect on men. But when a man of the motorcycle club - a deeply sinful, yet stunningly beautiful man - is charged with her care, Delilah begins to see that this dangerous and moral-less sinner from the 'outside' may offer her something she did not know could truly exist: unconditional love.
Kyler "Ky" Willis loves his life: a daily abundance of brotherhood, liquor, the freedom of the open road, and - best of all - his pick of hot women. Raised a biker brat and now VP of the most notorious MC in the States, Ky has no shortage of club sluts warming his bed; a situation he takes full advantage of until a certain blonde enters his life. A gorgeous pilgrim-blonde he can't get out of his head, a pilgrim-blonde he and his club recently rescued from some backward religious cult, and a pilgrim-blonde he's been ordered to keep the hell away from and his whorish hands off.
When yet another in a lengthy line of drunken blunders forces Ky to reluctantly take charge of the pilgrim-blonde's care, he realizes that there could be more to this woman than just supermodel looks and a stacked set of tits. He begins to see that she could be the woman who could do the impossible - tame his wild ways and capture his reluctant heart. But the unyielding bonds of Lilah's past are strong, her "people" determined and, with a new Prophet in charge and hell bent on revenge, they are mightily reluctant to let her go.

grrrrrrr tillie cole
I loved the first book but this one had me frustrated more than Interested. firstly why is Ky's character so dumb!! he keeps sprouting words that he knows does exactly the opposite of what every one wants for Lilah....or he should know but is not portrayed that way. geez, he's a VP of an MC and I didn't like him till chapter 26!!! as for lilah, i didnt take to her either. im sure its the way shes been portrayed as well. her religious meanderings had me rolling my eyes in frustration as she seesaws back and forth between her faith. I know its her beliefs she's struggling to comprehend but she's made out to be weak as she knows of the terrifying ordeals she's been through is not right yet she won't let go of that part of her belief. it just didn't gel to me. at least the prevention of babies was addressed in book 2. and at last the bible. I kept saying give lilah the bible like you did to Mae and again it only happened in chapter 26!!! geez...way to frustrating for me. book 3 interests me as it addresses the terribly broken and crazed flame and Maddie. I don't know if tillie can pull this one off as it's a big ask....she has written flame as a psycho.....don't know if I can see Maddie bringing him back from that. anyway, book 2 was brutal on the heroine which stands in this series stead, as it does with tillie Cole, but I wanted more from Ky especially brains....just couldn't warm to him or lilah at all

Brilliant
This Hades Hamngmen novel is about Delilah and Kyler ‘Ky’ Willis and I have to say I found it heartbreaking because Delilah never stood a chance in life, raised to believe her beauty is Satan cursed and beaten and raped constantly since the age of 8. She spends a lot of time with Ky who is trying to teach her how to live in the outside world and they fall deeply for each but, when the cult she was raised in takes her back she is once again beaten, raped and crucified. Ky and some of the other Hangmen resuce her in time but is she too broken to carry on? This is the most intense love story I think I have ever come across, a devastating tale of love and loss and just maybe redemption when it seems all is lost. I most highly recommend this audio book although it is probably not for the faint of heart, there is plenty of swearing, sex and brained washed cultists at every turn but, I loved it in the end.

I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK
The publishers summary is spot on. This is a very different MC series. Fitting that the MC's name is Hades Hangmen since they fight a religious cult. The KKK joins the cult in taking on Hades Hangmen.
I never give spoilers but I think people need a warning with this series. The cult, adult men, rape girls starting at the age of eight years old all in the name of religion. Of course, the men also have more than one wife.
This book sets up the rest of the series. It's dark, gritty, and sometimes sick. I cringed through parts of the book.
Ky is the VP of Hades and Styx best friend. Ky is charged with the task of watching Delilah. She's never been outside the fence of the cult so Ky starts taking her places around town so she can see what she's missed out on.
Tillie Cole has once again written an all consuming series. I also love her Scarred Souls series.
J.F. Harding, Bunny Warren and Biff Summers gave a fantastic performance.
This is absolutely worth a credit if you like dark and gritty.

Love the story, but not the narration
I enjoyed this one but not as much as book 1. We met Kyler Williams in the first book as he is next in command to Styx, the Hades Hangmen Club leader. Before Styx found his lady love Mae, Ky was the one person Styx trusted Enough to talk to since Styx stutters.
Ky was an unapologetic manwhore...until they rescued Mae, Delilah and Maddie from the cult. Something about Lilah shut his wandering eye down. Then they began to teach other.
IT was a painful journey to love as Lilah was so mentally, emotionally and physically damaged. The abuse the girls belonging to the cult endured made this book really hard to read. Topics dealing with Motorcycle gangs and a religious occult will probably contain graphic sex scenes but the non consensual sex features underaged girls. It's dark, raw and horrifying. I never thought I'd be rooting for a motorcycle gang, but I was happy when they rode in to save the day.
While I'll read book 3, I can tell Flame and Maddie's book will be just as brutal but it's an interesting universe the author created so I'd like to see how things play out.

Dissapointing follow up
Man, where should I start with this one? I bought the audiobook of It Ain't Me, Babe and powered through it in one day, so of course I picked up this next one in the series right away even though the plot description, audible preview, and previous intro for Delilah in book 1 didn't do much for me. But I figured Flame and Maddie would be in it and it'd probably be better than the plot summary made it seem. Well, I was wrong.
Unfortunately, Lilah just isn't a likable character to me and while there is all this emphasis on Kye falling for the real Lilah and not just her looks-- there really isn't any basis for it. Lilah herself doesn't seem to have much personality besides refusing to try things and being attracted to Kye. One thing I did like is that Lilah seems like a more realistic victim of long term abuse than Mae is. She has consistent difficulty adjusting to her new life outside of the compound and struggles with her faith but this is also really tedious after awhile since she doesn't seem to grow very much from chapter one to the end of the book. Her and Kye's conversations are almost entirely made up of her panicking or spewing religious crap at him justifying the abuse she lived through and him hitting on her because she's so fucking hot, even if she is crazy. They don't ever really talk about anything of substance directly to each other- most of what they find out about each other comes from other sources- and their sudden love for each other seems to come out of left field. Realistically, it seems like Lilah is just attracted to the first good looking guy who has never physically abused her and Kye just likes being needed, having someone to protect and control who looks really hot.
I also didn't care for how often Lilah is abused by other characters during the book (every time she leaves her room without Kye. Seriously.) as it often didn't seem to serve much purpose plot wise beyond getting rid of some excess characters and adding some length to the story. One instance in particular is a direct repeat of book one where when a character has fulfilled it's purpose in creating feelings of jealousy between the main couple, Tillie Cole abruptly bumps them off. It's redundant.
But mostly I hated how Maddie is basically regulated to a room away from everyone for the entire book which spans like 8 or 9 months. And all because the writer didn't want to have to tell her story at the same time as Lilah's. Never mind that Maddie actually seems to deal with the violence at the end of the first book better than even Mae does. Never mind that Maddie often shows zero hesitation in talking to Flame and the other bikers whenever they are around her. Never mind that she seems to have zero trouble realizing that what the compound taught them was crap and that she actually tells Lilah to calm down and get herself together practically at the very beginning of this book. But no, the reader is told that she is too traumatized to leave Styx's apartment during the entire book despite all evidence to the contrary. Lilah herself spends next to no time with or talking to, either Maddie or Mae- making them barely mentioned characters. I think the biker Viking actually gets more attention in the book than either girl. The only explanation I can think of for this is that Tillie Cole wanted to focus completely on Lilah and Kye's relationship but it just comes off as lazy writing. She just puts Maddie and Mae's lives completely on hold because she didn't want to write about them anymore/yet. So she sticks Maddie in a bedroom for months and months and months with zero change or growth. It makes no practical sense and is beyond frustrating. I understand wanting to devote an entire book to Maddie and Flame's relationship but there is a way to do that without currently sacrificing the characters and story quality.
I had to force myself to finish listening to it on the off chance something would happen which would directly effect the set up of the third book. In the end, I wish I could get those hours back.
In summary: Lilah is crazy. Kye is into crazy beautiful. They get together. Rider is still around, rebuilding the cult and being stupid. They kidnap Lilah and it's stupid. Lilah is saved and it's stupid. Lilah is more crazy and shoots Flame by accident and it's stupid. Few months later Lilah and the other sisters start going to normal church and Flame freaks. There. You're all caught up. Skip to book 3 if you are still interested.

Prepare ~ An Emotional Roller Coaster Ride!
Heart Recaptured is an intense, dark, gut wrenching story with little light, but like a moth drawn to the flame, I was helpless too look away, and found myself right there with the characters enduring each up and down. It's impossible to listen to this without feeling a world wind of emotions from anger, disbelief, sadness, disgust, frustration, to acceptance and love. The journey for these characters was not easy, at times, it was cruel, hard to bare, and some characters will be left with more scars than others. However, when they finally arrive at their bittersweet happy every after, you finally get to feel a sense of peace, acceptance and love.
The character development was great! There's both likeable and unlikable characters. Ky's the VP in the Hades Hangman MC, who lives hard, rides hard, and never considered being with just one women or having an "old lady." When he's assigned to care for one of the women rescued from the Commune, she will have him longing for more, and will bring out his protective instincts.
Lilah's been brainwashed by the Commune and truly believes in their teachings. Because of her beauty, she has been deemed a "cursed." As a cursed, it is believed she is Satan spawned and will tempt men from their righteous path. Under the Commune's wrapped beliefs, she will never be worthy of love, or allowed to marry. When she finds herself at the Hades compound, she has a hard time reconciling the life she grew up with against her new environment, and hangs onto her beliefs with an ironclad hold. Ky's been tasked to care for Lilah, and help her adjust to her new found freedom; however, with Lilah's deep seeded beliefs, Ky may never be able to get her to accept her new life.
This is the first audio I've listened to narrated by Warren and Summers, and they both did really good. Summer's delivering of some of the dialogue was actually funny, and I found myself laughing a few time throughout the story. Harding's performance is always great! I enjoyed the three narrator approach, and how it helped to separate the MC from the Commune.
While the story may be dark, the plot's well written, suspenseful, gripping and will have you hanging onto every word. Love It or Hate It! It's another unforgettable Hades Hangmen story that will linger with you well after you've finished it. I LOVED It, and found myself unable to stop listening. It was well worth the time!

I liked it!
I listened to this one while cleaning yard and working. it was great and couldn't shut it off. I loved the slow up build of the relationship between My and Lilah. They didnt just rush into sex. I read many many romance type novels and I was quite surprised that this was more true and she didn't get "rescued" before anything bad happened. I don't want to give the story away but this is more true to life then most books and had me on edge. There are some triggers in here so beware. I am now off to listen to Flames story. He has me so curious! 😁. Happy reading.

Fantastic!
This gritty, dark series in the continuing story of the Hades Hangmen MC club was an audiobook that really grabs you from the beginning. The hero is the second to the Hangman leader and the heroine is an escaped member of the religious cult. He's attracted to her but there are many tough obstacles to overcome. I won't go into spoilers, but it is a really tough road she goes through on her way to love. Can't wait to listen to the next audiobook in the series. You must listen to them in order, or you'll be lost in this series and confused. Narration was superb!

I just can't with this series.
I read book 1 but jumped to Audible for book 2 and I'm so glad I did! The narration was spot on. The voice for Ky was gruff, foul and raspy... Just the way it should be and the voice for Lila was timid, crazy and pained in all the right ways.
The plot is gripping & exciting and makes you regret any time that you have to press pause. I can't wait to hear Maggie & Flame's story. Total 5 star book, worth the credit.

I give it a “Meh+” rating
I got so tired of Lilah. She annoyed and bored the crap out of me with her ignorance and simpering. Kyler was a dumbass who didn’t realize from the story she told him of her treatment at the commune that he shouldn’t keep telling her she’d betwitched him and put a spell on him with her beauty. Really? Idiot. Additionally, the male narrator for Ky played his part with an annoying and over dramatized tone which was blecchhh.

Loved it!
12 hrs and 51 minutes well spent! I loved the second audio book of the Hades Hangmen Series, especially now I know who all the characters are. A really wonderful love story-slash-adventure with strong alphas, great dialogue, and plenty of action which kept me hooked until the last page. Go... don't read this, go read the book.

captivating
The author has a way of writing that captures the audience from the very first word and keeps them to the very end. This is book 2 in the series and carries on where we left off. This is based on lila and ky's relationship. I love how we see the progression of Lila's healing and her finding solace and peace, from all she has endured.

Dark romance that is action packed and covers topics such as rape and abuse.. ultimately a love story
This second instalment of the series was good, but I enjoyed the first more. Ky the VP of an MC falls for Lyla the sister of Mae. He's a male slut who couldn't care less about women, she's a devout Christian completely brainwashed by the cult which brought her up via abhorrent abuse and torture. I was curious to see how the two would get together. There is a lot of religious scripture and beliefs in this book which does become a bit much at times. I understand why, with a devout Christian such as Lyla it had to be a part of the story.. and it is a common thread throughout so be warned. There are also scenes of child sexual abuse, rape which at times is difficult to digest. So do they end up together after coming from such conflicting backgrounds? Well you'll have to read it to find out. I'm looking forward to reading about Flame and Caine.

A dark, stunning story.
The narrators weren't my favourite, but this story was amazing. This was my second read through on audio. It gets better with every listen.
