Excellent

Deep Redemption is the fourth book in the Hades Hangmen series and focuses on the Prophet Cain and Harmony. They meet when she is put in the cell next to him in New Zion. Caine introduces himself as Rider as he no longer wants to be known as the Prophet Cain because he has been betrayed by his brother Judah and the faith that has been his life. He has given up on life as he has nothing left to believe in until he gets to know Harmony. Then Judah sets his sights on Harmony and suddenly Rider has something to fight for. Trust and love blossoms in the cells and it changes everything forever. Another brilliant installation in the series which I highly recommend.

what a series!!!!

there was a lot of comments going around about this book. I was reluctant to listen but after book 3 and cain's interference I knew something was brewing in tillie Cole's brilliant mind.
I was brutal about Ky and Lilah in book 2...and it's taken to book 4 to warm...just a bit...to both of them.
this heroine is my most favourite out of the series so far and I have reluctantly, tentatively, relented toward the hero...if you could call him that...actually yes you could!
its heartbreaking, horrifying and gut wrenching but not as brutal as book 3...or so I think anyway.
I have book 5 on audible and then sadly have to wait.... so please narrator's and audible bring on the rest 💜💜💜💜💜
it's a gritty, brutal, horrific, take on a life that most folk wouldn't dream about or only see on tv news.
it's dark as bloody dark can get and I love tillie Cole's brilliant writing, the way she twists and turns her way through the plot and surprises you with clever innuendo and making you "SEE the forest for the trees"?...if you get my meaning. 😉😉 no spoilers here!!
if you want face grimacing grunt, unthinkable abuse and evil at its utmost, right along side loyalty, undying love, friendship, family and alphas...read the series!!!!!

Dark Road To Redemption......

..... Paved With Blood, Sweat and Tears!

Wow! I knew going in this would be an intense dark emotional roller coaster, but Cole surpassed my expectations! These characters journey will make you feel so many emotions from anger, sadness, hurt, disbelief to love, peace, and forgiveness. This story definitely comes with trigger warnings for child and sexual abuse. It's dark, well written with excellent world building, and surprising plot twists.

I really enjoyed the first three stories in the series, and book for was no exception, but I really didn't know I would feel about a HEA for Rider/Cain. He's been an important character throughout the story causing turmoil, and known for his lies, deceit, and blind eye. Cole did an amazing job turning his character from one I truly disliked, to one I could feel empathy for. He is still my least favorite character in the series; however, I'm curious on the direction, and role Rider will play in the next book.

The narration was great! Both Athena Pappas and J.F. Harding really delivered on all the emotions throughout the story. Great story, well worth the time and credit!

Series keeps getting better and better

This has to be one of my favorite series of all time. I get so entranced in the books, I just can't stop listening. This one featured Ryder and Harmony. I have been looking forward to Ryder's story since book one and could not wait to get into it. Picking up where book 3 left off, Ryder is in a cell, which is where he meets Harmony, a cursed woman of Eve. What happens throughout this book is hot, sexy, horrifying, tragic, unbelievable and so incredibly captivating that the earbuds just would not come out. Each scene held a twist, a turn, an emotion that made you cringe, smile and cry.

The narrators of this book, JF Harding and Athena Pappas are magic together. I cannot wait until book 5.

Insanely good series

Though this series is written with a lot of vulgar and different from acceptable language, the story under it all is phenomenal. The author has an innate talent for gaining sympathies for hardened criminals who kill and don't bat an eye at their rigid code of conduct. The story is wicked and brutal but also profoundly protective and forgiving. The spell cast over the reader/listener is encompassing and magical. I am enthralled by the deeply protective love experienced by the cursed women and despite the violence of the MC, I would read every line again because I am lost inside this world and can't get enough of the guilty pleasure.

Better the second time around

I am really surprised that my opinion of Cain’s book improved during this re-listen. It’s still my least favorite of the series so far and I was tempted to skip it but I think the audiobook made the story even better. The main problem with the story for me was everything Rider/Cain put the women through. It was really hard to forgive him and move on after Lilah’s story, his ignorance was the cause of a lot of trauma. He blindly followed his twin and his faith even after people told him the truth. The woman he claimed to love told him how she was raped continuously since age 8 and he refused to believe her, seriously, how could he even claim to love her if he believed she would tell lies that horrible. Harmony is a strong character, but most of the focus was on Cain and how his brother could be stopped that I feel like Harmony didn't really get a chance to shine. The part that I loved was when she defended Cain to the entire Hades Hangmen, and that is really the part that made me re-think my feeling for Cain; he was no different from the women, he was brainwashed into believing all that nonsense.

The intro to this book left a foul taste. 🤮

Cain still has a lot to atone for and not sure I'd ever forgive him. Hrmm parts of this were not satisfying, probably because it's too realistically cowardly. 🤬 The wives are badass!!! ❤❤❤❤ *swoon* in luuuurve with Styx and Flame 🥰🤪
Trigger warnings for...don't actually remember any, other than implied, discussed, or as a memory but those include rape, pedophilia, and abuse. The desensitization is strong with this one >me<.

Not for the faint of heart but so good!

This series by Tillie Cole is dark, raw and full of the kind of things that make you cringe as a woman. But it also full of heart, love and salvation - not the religious kind but the kind that makes you feel redeemed for being a good person and doing what is right. That is what happens in this book as well as the look at the idea of forgiveness and the redeeming power of love. Plus the Hangmen are kicking ass as usual!

excellent narration

as has been throughout this series the narration has been exceptional but extra credit to JF Harding who has been truly outstanding. again this book comes with a shit tone of trigger warnings but if you are this far in the series you know what to expect by now but be warned, there's some extra trauma towards the end of this book you wont be expecting until it's upon you.
I wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about cain/riders story as I had very mixed emotions about him, especially after reading another review that said they felt he hadn't really atoned for his sins. however after finishing the book I disagree with this reviewer, as he was equally brainwashed by the elders and was tormented by what he believed to be true about his faith but ultimately knew to be wrong and the strength to stand up to such institutional ideology would take strength most would not for the sheer fear of the punishment. I think Bella's speech to the hang men in defence of him hits the nail on the head.
I'm really enjoying this series.

Full redeemed? Not quite

This has been my least favourite book in the series so far. I think it's mostly because I couldn't altogether get behind Rider's redemption arc. It was a cute story and it mattered to the overarching story, but...after everything he's done...I don't see if he's redeemed himself all the way in my eyes

Repetitive somewhat to previous instalments..

DThis was my least favourite even though it was one I was looking forward to. Mae and River open the series so it was new and enthralling. Ky and Lyla story was interesting because they were such opposites, him a male slug shagging every shore in sight; she an avid religious nut brainwashed by the cult. Then there was Flame and Maddie, totally heart breaking what these two endured yet managed to find love in one another.

This one was a mixture of Mae and River and Maddie and Flame so I couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity. Maybe it hit home because I read them consecutively over the past few days. Ryder is the hero hated by most due to what he'd done in the past and Bella is the sister thought to be dead. I loved her character, she fought fearlessly for their love and was fierce, even against the MC.

I'm over the child abuse 'sharings', women from the compound and MC men traumatised by their upbringing. I honestly found myself skim reading sections that were familiar to sections from the other instalments.

I'll read one more in the series and that will be the one touching race..Since it's something different. Tanner - the KKK golden boy and Adelita - daughter to a Mexican cartel boss, falling in love. I'm intrigued to see how that develops.

Thrilling and heart rending!

Profit Cain is starting to doubt his faith. His brother Judah has turned on him. The only real thing in his life is the girl in the next cell. With exciting new twists, this is an absolute must read. Brilliant!
