I started this book because of a craving for dystopian themes with a queer love story, and it did not disappoint. The eerie setting along with Seb's charming sarcasm captured me immediately, to the point that I listened to about 5 hours of the story in one sitting. The narration was engaging, genuine, and easy to follow. The romance was a perfect slow burn. And the anger and pain I felt when Seb described what had happened in his past.... Let's just say I'm glad I started this when book 2 is already out!
