LOVED IT

The only thing is that the voice of the robots is a lot at some times but you get use to it and it’s great!

Great finish

Fox and Hayes deliver the best installment in the Terra Nova Chronicles, part of the expanded Ember War universe. Hale’s War is the best of the four, by far. Luke Daniels is excellent, as always

Maybe this time some epic space battles as well. Just whatever you do please keep the same style of writing. Not too much self doubt and full of raw determination. Great job!!!!!!!

Not quite over yet or is it?

I loved the ending of this part of the Terra Nova chronicles. The coming together of the cast and the final climactic scenes were all amazing written by Richard and Josh and brought to amazing life by Luke Daniels. The closed the story of the Brothers Hale in an awesome way but left it open for so many more adventures into the universe. I hope that this story and the characters crossover to the Terran Strike Marines and Terran Armor Corp series. So much life left in all of these stories and universe and yet so many more stories to tell. Great work team!

Okay, but not as good as first 2 books

This is the fourth book in a 4 book series, so do not read this book unless you've read the first 3. And if you have read the first 3, you pretty much have to read this one, because book three ended on a cliffhanger . . . well really, Fox and Hayes just cut one long book in half. (I am very offended by authors who do that to try and force the reader to buy another book. That's lazy writing. If you want me to buy the next took, write a better book.)

In any event, this was a good book, but not as good as the first 2 books in the series. Contrary to a couple other reviewers, I do like the robots. I enjoyed their banter and voices. And speaking of voices, Luke Daniels was excellent, as always.

Bottom line, I enjoyed the 4 book series, although book three was very weak. And they did leave things open for a sequel series or another book, although this pretty much wrapped up the main plot lines.

Please tell me there will be more!

Not a bad place to stop, and a great place to launch the next series. The Master Cheif and her team would be a great group of characters to follow.

Simplistic

I got sucked in with the first 2 books for free and wanted to see what came next. The story was pretty straight forward with few twists that weren’t telegraphed well in advance. Key decision makers made bad choices that senior officials would not have. Characters assigned diplomatic functions exhibited the patience of a teenager despite years of diplomatic training.

Character development was well done and I genuinely cares what happened to them. I got frustrated when people made illogical choices that were obviously done only to further a predetermined plot line.

Probably a talented writer in need of a good editor and mentor.

If you are looking to escape for a few hours!

I have enjoyed the series. This was an enjoyable story and the performance was outstanding. Not too complicated and the pacing was sufficient to keep you interested. There are a few places where the drama becomes unnecessarily melodramatic, but the argument for character development is the likely culprit. Overall a great escape, and isn't that what fiction is supposed to...
