Publisher's Summary

Best-selling authors Christopher Hopper and J.N. Chaney return with Gods and Men, book two of the Ruins of the Earth series, what fans call “the best military sci-fi of the year”, and “Galaxy’s Edge meets Expeditionary Force”. Brought to you in audio by none other than award-winning, chart-topping narrator R.C. Bray.

Humans are herded like sheep for the slaughter, and their only hope for survival lies with a team who just left the planet.

Following their successful mission to destroy the slaver ring in New York City, Wic and the members of Phantom Team pass through the Antarctic’s origin ring and find themselves deep in the heart of the Androchidan Empire. But as the scope of the alien specie’s operation becomes apparent, Phantom Team realizes they can’t stand by as humanity is culled into submission. Efforts must be made to slow the enemy’s progress, if not stop it altogether.

Under Wic’s leadership, the team devises a plan to infiltrate and neutralize part of the Androchidan’s operation. Allies are made, and resources are acquired. But when enemy spies find evidence of collusion, it is only a matter for time before the Phantoms’ hopes of thwarting the enemy are dashed.

Will Wic and his elite team of warriors succeed in reversing the tide of the Androchidan invasion? Or will they succumb to the unrelenting power of the most notorious slaver operation in the galaxy?

great listening

but hey guys if you are going to write about Australian animals please get your facts straight or use wikipedia. KOALAS ARE Not BEARS!!!. They are marsupials. You all must have fact checked the military stuff. So as an avid Aussie listener/reader of your books, please rectify this issue. Otherwise I am looking forward to the next book with RC Bray.

Well splick!

This was just brilliant! As a keen follower of these authors, I loved this book... the story telling was excellent and the descriptive nature of some of the scenes certainly put interesting pictures in my head. I was impressed and i'm just sad it's over until the next book is out.

Well done to Christopher Hopper and J.N Chaney on another excellent adventure... oh and R.C. - what can one say... a master of his class and never ceases to impress.

An Expeditionary Force remake

An Expeditionary Force remake complete with snarky AI, except it’s a gun, an alien attack, spaceship theft…

Enjoyable

Just coming across this series I listened to this instead of the first book, will definitely be listening to that one now.

Also can’t help but hear the Magnificent Skippy every time Sir Chuck speaks, just less of an A$$hole haha. R.C Bray is a legend.

it's God But Not Original

While entertaining this book basically is is a slight variation on the Expeditionary book series. Replace Skippy with Chuck and there you go. That said it's still light and fun and expertly narrated .

NAILED IT!

Another outstanding performance by R.C. Bray. An incredible story that is brought to life by the always talented Bray. Performance aside, Hopper and Chaney delivered an action-packed ride that amazingly took place over the time period of only 2 days in book time. That much detail and content is a challenge worthy of appreciation.

Thank You Both,

SFC Tanner Gould

Not Skippy, but chuck is certainly close!

I'm not sure if this is a spin off a Skippy saga or not. It was a fun fast passed listen.

The AI

It’s the AI that keeps me listening! He is so funny I love the interactions. I enjoyed this book a lot, so much that I was shocked to find out that I had finished it!
R.C Bray finishes the fantastic package of an audiobook off with his voice! Great!

Fabulously written and narrated of course.

Unexpectedly but in parts that really did get my tummy in a whirl, and doing flick flacks, action fast and unrelenting. Some unexpected and awesome trumpet blowing imagination bath bombs, sweet nectar and definitely an invite to a sequel. Can't wait 😎
