World building, character building, detail, logic and urgency of battle scenes are all excellent. The narrator's voice suits it nicely. I really enjoyed it! A great example of military sci-fi with protagonists that you care about. I will be listening to the entire series :-)

This is an enjoyable narrative. The plot is credible and engaging. The characters well fleshed out. The narrator is excellent.

Wow. This is a really awesome sci-fi novel. I came across Rick Partlow with his Duty, Honor, Planet, and was really impressed with how deep it was with its intricate character development and world building.

This new series takes that to great new height, with well-written characters, epic space battles revolving around space physics, and some pretty good laughs. The performance is also on point!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone, and the narrator is easy to listen to.

A decent space story that took a while for me to get into it. Once there, it was a good story even if a little predictable. I don’t mind predictable in this genre, after all there’s nothing new in this world.

I thought that the voice acting was good and added to the story, helping bring it to life. I didn’t like that this book was clearly written as in introduction to a series, it was never going to be a standalone book. But I think that is a small quibble rather than an actual problem.

It is a book that you would expect from the genre, not pushing the boundaries but a decent offering to the space battle genre.
