Annnnndddd it’s yet another 5 star read to Devney Perry. I fell in love with this book, the characters are stunning and the storyline is chef’s kiss. Oh, and Mr Madden, you can call me “love” anytime you like. IYKYK.

I listened to this book as an audio book on Audible and I will admit, it was my least favourite of the series. In saying that I did enjoy it but not as much as the others, I wasn’t expecting to though, as I had heard so many negative things about this book. It was narrated by Connor Crais whom is yet another narrator I love, I could listen to his voice all day and Cindy Kay, who I thought was perfect for the role of Talia. These narrators were perfect for the characters. It was a short listen which was such a bonus, I listened to this so quickly, like in a few days while I travelled for work

This story follows Talia Eden as she navigates her life as a new Doctor in her small home town, chasing her dreams with her family by her side, but her life gets turned upside down when her ex Foster Madden, a UFC champion, shows up after his divorce with his wife, wanting Talia back, bring back the pain she tried so desperately to hide. Foster wants a quiet life, out of the spotlight so he moves to Quincy, to get away, but also win the heart of the love of his life. He has a story and a reason why he left Talia so abruptly but, will Talia believe him, will she forgive him. He knows he has his work cut out for him.

I have loved Talia since the first book but she did seem closed off, but I now see why and I was so excited to get her story. She was such a hard worker, and someone others could totally rely on. I just loved how she always put everyone else’s needs in front of her own, and took no one’s bullshit. I loved how she didn’t give in straight away, she needed to get her thoughts all right before she took that leap again and it was worth it.

Foster is the definition of king of Grovelling. When you finally get a glimpse in to his past,into why it all happened,you do understand why he did what he did. He knew what he wanted so he went and got it. One thing I do wish he did was confess earlier, like straight away.

I wasn’t a fan of Vivian from the get go. IYKYK. But the other side characters,OBSESSED.

I definitely loving this series and this family. I can’t wait for the next instalment. Especially loved listening to Connor and Cindy who did a fabulous job bringing this story to life 💞💜💞💜💞💜💞

A nice story but not on the same level as the prior books. Great performance & an easy listen but the flat storyline left much to be desired. A shame really as it had the potential to be great.
