Story
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

If there’s one thing Brooke Sullivan knows for sure is that people let you down, but that hasn’t stopped her from going after the life she wants. In a new city, with a new job and a new start as a high-end real estate agent, she’s finally back on her feet. The last thing she needs is a distraction. Not her volatile neighbors, not a damn stray cat, and certainly not the flaky, infuriatingly adorkable girl-next-door property stager she has to work with.

Audio sample is very misleading!
I have read this book a couple of times on my Kindle and loved it....listened to audio sample and thought it sounded great...why not listen for my 3rd time around with this book. I find it hard to believe that anyone will find the voice of Catherine appealing...it's just awful , sounds like she's in a panic and hurried. Unfortunately...they really ruined this story by using two narrators, the Narrator for Alex is very good and should have been the only one. I don't like being so critical but it's upsetting when a good book is too painful to listen to....definitely returning it.

okay story, odd narrator switching
simple love story that could probably have been half the length. story line didn't seem to develop along. I also did not understand the use of two readers for this book, it was hard to get into since the readers were such different styles and both reading for the same characters. I felt like it threw off the characters personalities all book long.

Enjoyable erotic scenes:)
The storyline was refreshing but I didn’t enjoy the epilogue. I was hoping for a slightly different ending, but I enjoyed the book greatly. The erotic scenes were hot and wish more couples were as open to experiencing pleasure as in the book. In the audible version, I don’t prefer having two people read, I prefer just one person, especially since Felicity Munroe creates great voices for each character.

The story is good but the audiobook suffers bc of Catherine’s narrator
I really liked Alexis’s narrator’s voice. It’s the same narrator in Melissa Braden’s Soho Loft series. I skipped most of Catherine’s parts because of the narrator. Her voice was so annoying & didn’t fit the character. This book would be so much better if Catherine’s narrator was also Alexis’s narrator.

Love is love ♥️
A very sweet f/f love story. The characters were very well developed as was the plot. I loved the theme of falling in love with a person and not a sex. The steam was zero at first and I was thinking it was a love story with no graphic sex but about 2/3 in is when things take off and... ya. Lots of lovin’ to be had.
It got a little long, but I broke it up and it was not an issue. I really enjoyed it. Love is love.

great story
I love the story, I’ve read the book several time. I’m not a fan of the two different narrators. It throws the pace of the boom off and made it feel a little disconnected.
However, great story just the same.

Narration is half perfect
Other half horrid. Why anyone would feel the need to supplement Felicity Munroe’s perfect narration is baffling. The voice of Kathryn is all wrong. I stuck it out be I knew I had felicity to look forward to. Story and characters are engaging enough keep listening, but print is likely the better choice for this one!

Not A Fan of Having 2 Narrators
I really loved this book. loved the story, loved the characters and it tugged on my heart strings.
I was not a fan of having 2 narrators. Catherine's character didnt have much consistency of personality between the two and it throws things off a bit. I preferred the way Alex's narrator portrayed Catherine's character. It was a softer more emotional Catherine.
Other than that, it's an amazing book. Happy listening!

eh
I have 2 big issues with this book. 1. the narration. Felicity Monroe is excellent as always and does a very good Alex. I did not enjoy Emily Bradford in this story. it's just so left field it actually ruins it for me. I get into the rhythm of her voice but it feels forced not right. then I hear Felicity doing Alex and it's perfect.
2nd... the story drags on forever. I forced myself to finish.

I don't understand why two narrators was needed! Felicity Munroe is awesome! It was hard to listen to Emily Beresford! Emily is awful! I wish Felicity narrated the whole book!
