Some people in the review section of the audiobook were complaining of the lack of communication, but I felt the Valaries character was believable. She is anxious and finds it hard to believe how anyone could love her when her parents never could.
The initial meeting of Cressida doesnt help either (spoiler) and it takes a long, slow burn for them to realise that they are meant to be together.
Really loved listening to Abby as always. Its hard for me to steer away from her narration, she's just superb!
