Having studied David Deida’s transformative work the last couple of years, being recommended John’s book I was sceptical anything could articulate the work as well as Deida’s. I was proven wrong & feel that John’s book actually is more applicable in the contemporary world we’re in.

John’s work has had a powerful impact in my life but this book has too much “social justice warrior” perspective. John’s personal agenda is hard to listen too as he waffles on about being a “cis gendered white male, unable to see past his own biases” and and how bad the patriarchy has been for all mankind and blah blah blah. Bummer! I really like his other work.
