What's worse than Australian wildlife? Mutated Australian wildlife. The System Apocalypse has come to Australia, altering native organisms and importing even more menacing creatures to the most dangerous continent on Earth. For Kira Kent, plant biologist, the System arrives while she's pulling an all-nighter at work with her pair of kids in tow. Story
Strength comes not in victories. It comes from standing up after defeats, in reaching out a hand and pulling others to their feet. Of pushing others ahead of one’s self. Alvans must dig deep. They have paid a heavy price, a price felt in the hearts of every member. They started as a small group fighting to just survive in the first realm to a nation that challenged the combined United Sect Alliance. Instead of crumbling, they bared their teeth, they fought forces from the seventh realm. They bled their enemy every step of the way.

Story
When war and nefarious forces split the realms, Micah dives into the breach once more, confident in his stupendous magical power and time magic will keep him and his friends safe. It won't. He fails, and a new enemy with a familiar face has followed him back into the past, wreaking havoc on the timeline. Now Micah's only chance comes in the form of a map, guiding him halfway around the world to the laboratory of the greatest wizard that ever lived.
Publisher's Summary
They can run, but hiding isn't in their forte.
After revealing the deception spread by the Galactic Council and the hidden aspects of the System, John Lee and his friends flee the council building on Irvina.
Just escaping the capital planet will tax them to their utmost. Evading the full force of the Galactic Council and their minions might be more than they can handle. While old allies deal with the new truths, friends fracture under the increasing pressure, and all the while, the System Quest hangs over John's head, unfinished.
Their only hope - their only clue - lies in the Forbidden Zone.
The Forbidden Zone is book 11 of the System Apocalypse universe and the penultimate book of the series. The System Apocalypse is a best-selling LitRPG series mixing post-apocalyptic fiction with alien invasions, military science fiction, and fantasy elements with game-like statuses and levels.

First Lack-Luster in the Series...
This is an amazing series, that said you are probably only reading this review and maybe the book because you are also a fan of Tao's work. based on the stars the story gets 2=Ok, it is just that.... Ok.
It's a shame to say this book (Book 11) is all but un-needed. The beginning and end of this book could have easily been distilled into two, maybe one hour(s) and just added to book 10 for a more fulfilling completion to that book.
No spoilers... but all that I really feel this book adds is more leveling a possible component needed for the finally and a more satisfying stopping point for a book.

just as great of a story as always.
a lot of reviews are complaining about either the constant running and battle. spoiler-ish but really if you're at this point in the story. THE MAIN CHARACTER IS BEING HUNTED so yeah its run run run fight run run fight. it's almost like the entire galaxy is hunting them. so yeah they're on the run. it's the natural progression of the story.
As far as the abuse of the robot, its a robot. Sentient not sapient. it doesn't even have feelings.
also the mc has been in constant battle for over a decade by this point, him not being a battle hardened asshole by this point would just be unrealistic.

Author just needs to stop.
So I had practically given up on this series. Yet I listenedbecaude I ran out of other series. I finally put the series down this is the final straw. the characters refusal to grow in any positive way, as well as stupid obsession, have finally pushed me away from the series. The true final straw was when the MC added constant child abuse to his repertoire. The MC picks up an android and instead of raising the poor kid he tells at it, tells it to stop talking to him. Finally he gives no encouragement at the very best times the MC ignores it. At the worst parts he is actively detrimental to the poor thing.

What just happened?
I’m trying to understand why Tao made our MC so lackluster. MC is just mad, angry, stubborn, and has a “I know what’s best” attitude. I’m not even going to start on how he deals with his robot smh. All I can say is if John died I wouldn’t be sad, that’s how much the MC has become a 💩 bag.

Not sure what caused this, but about four times Nick’s voice would glitch and change as if he was talking at a different direction with the mic. Sometimes it sounded like he changed mics for a few words then it would go back to normal. Overall good book and great voice actor.
