If you don't have time to read this adventure, make time to listen. Vocals are as captivating as the storyline. From rugged humour with laughs to actual tears off loss, you will feel apart of this world every step of the way.

By far the best Si Fi fantasy novel I've ever read, the story line and characters are amazing, absolutely love the book, BUT, the audio was next level, Leumas's narration of his characters brought them all to life, amongst the twists and turns, the hights and lows, the funny and sad, all the emotions are going in this second to none read. The novel Flipside is what block buster are made of. Highly recommend this read 👍👌👏👏👏

This is a wild yet subdued ride. Yes im contradicting myself but hear me out.

I'm still going through the emotions so bare with me.

Flipside starts of almost cozy. Old friends taking the mickey out of each other whilst checking in and showing each other, in their own way, that they care.

We are soon reminded that nothing is cozy cause it's a dystopian world and alien squid like beings are trying to kill and possess everyone.

What I'm trying to say is that Llwetnac dumps us 'into the thick of it' and allows us to work it out from there, through some well crafted scenes and world building.

It's multi pov, including a pov from one of the squids, who you hate (cause they're a squid) but also, I found myself empathising with. Having both sides of the conflict pov was really gave this tale an added layer of depth I was completely submerged in this world.

The story itself is medium paced which I think was wholey intentional. Reading along with the audiobook forced me to slow down to the pace of 3 of the main characters. It's night when reading about older characters, the pace of the actual words matches them. Very well done!

The characters!!! For me this was very character based though that isn't to say there is no plot or action. There are twists and revelations that had me gasping. But the dialogue and characters kept me invested and saying "just one more chapter".

The humour is natural and seemingly effortless as is the fear and grief.

I highly recommend this read and can't wait to see where this goes cause Llewtnac can't leave us hanging like this!!!

Thankyou for hours of entertainment. Your captivating voice and character voices lured me into flipside, hours passed and nothing else mattered.
I found tears running down my cheeks as the characters came and went!
I didn't want the story to end.
It was brillant.
Can't wait for the sequel.

This is a story of loss and fighting to survive. It is amazingly written and narrated. I became attached to the characters and now want to hear that Charlie has finally found happiness after losing so much. I wish a few things were different but I won't say what because I don't want to spoil the story. This story had me laughing and crying. My only issue with the story is it is full of despair and sorrow. It is hard to grasp any hope. While this is an issue the story is also more realistic because of this. The sorrow and dwindling hope felt by the characters comes through strongly.

short and sweet story paired with an amazing performance by the narrator. An interesting take on the genre that takes the reader into a new and interesting world, hoping to see more from this world in the future.
