About this listen

Can the hot young firefighter break down the walls around the Ice Queen CEO's guarded heart?

Icy CEO and Billionaire Adaze Banks gets into difficulty on her yacht off the coast of Phoenix Ridge. Her life is saved by hero Firefighter Leilani Silva.

Adaze feels drawn to the woman who saved her life both physically and emotionally although they are worlds apart. Adaze doesn't date since her messy divorce and certainly a hot young firefighter would be a bad place to start.

Just as Adaze is starting to let her walls down, her past comes back to to haunt her.

Is the connection she has with Leilani enough to save them both?

You'll love this steamy romance between a CEO and the firefighter who saved her life.

Contains mature themes.

One of the highlights for me is the narration by Lori Prince. She’s one of my favourite narrators and consistently does an excellent job bringing the characters to life. Her voice work adds depth and personality, making the listening experience feel engaging rather than flat.

This particular instalment stood out a bit more for me because of one element that felt unusual. There’s a dynamic where the older lover calls the younger lover “baby,” and the younger lover refers to the older lover as “mummy.” It’s not something I personally gravitate toward, and it did feel a little strange at first, which is why it stuck with me.

That said, I understand that within certain dominance/submission dynamics, this kind of language can make sense in context. While it’s not really my thing, it worked for the scenario presented and didn’t detract from the overall story.

All up, it was still an enjoyable listen, and the strong narration carried it well. If you enjoy short audiobook series and appreciate skilled narration, this one is definitely worth a listen—especially for fans of Lori Prince.

Still pretty hot
