About this listen

They built him to take out their trash. Turns out they're next.

Tedd is a trash droid with an "anomaly" - he can think for himself. Management wants him smelted, and his runaway mouth isn't helping.

He could disappear quietly. He could play it safe. He could, for once in his miserable existence, do the sensible thing.

But he doesn't. He never does.

If you love Douglas Adams, John Scalzi, or Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries, you'll devour this.

Confessions of a Trash Droid: Awarded Amazon #1 Bestseller for Humorous Sci-Fi. 64,427 copies sold and counting.

I really wanted to like this story, but unfortunately it ultimately did not deliver what I was hoping for.

If you want a story with a truly snarky AI, try the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson. It's a slow burn but trust me, wait for the beercan to turn up!

Not quite what I was looking for

Mimicking the style of different writers to try and gain readers, this author has potential, just needs to write his own story instead of trying to copy others,

This book isn't consistent enough in its own internal rules, it feels like it was written by committee, in that certain things are introduced and then never brought up again, this story needed alot more focus, it really feels like several bits of different books where stitched together to make this one

Trying a bit to hard copy other authors

Plot 'development' feels like it was made up on the fly. 1-dimensional characters. Gloomy without reprieve.

Depressing, not funny.

I really like the main character very human like, a droid I could be friends with

A good story that flowed
