Amazing, Life-Changing Information

I thought this book was excellent. Dr Mindy's voice is a little brassy for my taste but hey, she knows her stuff and her delivery of the information was great. It's all well organised and thorough and readily accessible. The one thing that really irritated me about this audio book was the occasional musical interlude in the background that seemed to appear at random - the same tune - it was just distracting and added nothing at all to the content.

Anyway, I highly, highly recommend this book for people who are seasoned fasters or considering embarking on a fasting lifestyle. It really is one of the simplest, cheapest and most effective ways to drop weight. As a 50-something menopausal woman who has seen the dreaded spare tire creep on over the past year or so, I can attest that this works, and it's honestly not that onerous once you get into it. Actually fasting can feel so darn good that once you're through the initial hunger pangs you might not want to stop.

I think this might be the answer to years of what basically amounts to abuse by the corporate food sector. Once you've re-adjusted your gut it's amazing how you crave 'good' food and can turn away from the crap. Also, Dr Pelz gives so much information about the effects of bad food that you'll think twice about reaching for that tub of ice cream or pack of potato chips.

Give it a go, you won't regret it! :-)

This woman is not a qualified doctor. Her ideas are interesting but no good evidence is sited.

The ladies voice is slow and annoying. I listened to this audio book because I think that woman’s hormones are important to be aware of, and I want to incorporate fasting. But this woman is 100% entrenched in diet culture. I would proceed with extreme caution.

1 Million Reasons to Fast

This book delivers 🙌 by providing quality information in enough factual detail to clearly guide people to begin fasting. I love the mission, I love the energy in the narration. It is truly a great tool to self empower individuals to understand their bodies and reclaim their health.

Very interesting but no PDF

I found the info fascinating and im keen to start fasting.
She's clearly very passionate, but I do wish she used a professional narrator to read it, her voice is a bit annoying.
As so often hapoens with Audible, there's no PDF attached. This is particularly annoying in the this case as it's needed to follow the details of the different fasts.

Eye opening!

Very interesting hormone centred approach to suit any woman's health. Recommend to anyone for weight loss and even just be and stay healthy inside out. Want listen to it again.
