About this listen

The economy has taken a turn for the worse, and Hank is working as a part-time gravedigger (and more than part-time graverobber). Despite being an expert shoveler, it’s not his top career choice, and he’s anxious to take any "legitimate" criminal work that comes along.

In that vein, he finds himself hired by a mysterious woman who wants him to recover an even more mysterious trunk that was stolen from her mansion. He’s also tasked by the new Adjunct Overwatch to find out who has been tampering with the Upper City. Hank struggles against competitive rivals, government red tape, serial killers, and his ever-present grumbling stomach.

All of this takes place with the backdrop of the Thad Elon Festival. It was put on as a means to drum up tourism revenue for the city. But there’s a concern that the destructive demigod in question might show up in person to take part in the celebration.

False Profit is a hank story thought and thought and I really enjoyed it, made me laugh multiple times like it should, but the Narrator failed, he constantly repeats lines, during the book you can hear his breaths and even said a line in a different character voice and kept it in. this is very disappointing considering Liam Owen is a talented narrator.

A hank story, but the narration did get checked

the story was good but I was regularly annoyed by the amazingly incompetent editing. I would say that at least 5 percent of this book was ruined for me by the constant repeats of phrases, sometimes even whole sentences. this stopped the flow and I was taken out of the story for a time. Hence missing some of the following audio and having to return to the mistake and try and make sense of it. It is good narrator but to keep selling it in good faith the entire book should be re-edited. Not worth the credit as is. May be better as a kindle.

the awful production
