About this listen

When a horrible murder happens, Siobhan Castor must conquer her fear of failure and past mistakes to keep a teenager from going to jail for the rest of his life.

Siobhan Castor is a young lawyer, who wants to help everyone, but frequently questions herself due to her fear of failure. She is very close to her family and is mentored by tough Judge Margaret Forrester, who is also Siobhan’s mother’s best friend.

When a woman is brutally murdered in her home, Siobhan is hired by Brandon Stevens, a high school student whose best friend Micah is the one who committed the murder, along with another teenager, Charlie. Siobhan uses her police connections and makes an agreement that Brandon will be the State’s witness against his best friend.

Brandon soon finds himself facing charges for the murder because of an ambitious assistant parish attorney who wants to make a name for himself. Siobhan considers quitting law because she fears she will mess up, and Brandon will end up in jail. In the meantime, a personal tragedy strikes Siobhan's family, further causing her to fear her ability to represent Brandon.
