i listened twice. I've rated overall a 3.
As an introduction it was dumbed down, perhaps too much so for my liking. i learned something about pair bonding. Nicely said. And also picked up the religious correlations.
Don't leave out Sikhism. It is in the Top 5 in World. Rooted in both Buddhism & Hinduism, and Non-dualism.
Our anthropologic history is sound.
However the speculative generality re: "trance" states drawing simplistic correlations to every type - I'd edit it right out.
The significance of each should not have been jumbled- a trance state.
Unless to emphasise only the physiological syncing of heart, brain energy waves (you left out) as well as
healthy endorphins.
A second lacking is the outdated nuero-sci. re: Which parts of our brain operates what exactly - and in conjunction with evolutionary & modern social constructs.
Let us point out - the Amagydalan and ancient limbic systems are doing the driving for most of the population and despite our evolution. Hence, that Trance State you skipped over is the only way to let go of the wheel and get to exactly where you need to be, sooner.

In the current social climate where the near religion of 'sameness' is repeated, it's a breath of fresh air to see what the science tells us about human beings with an impartial view.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in understanding our own behaviour; both historically and the internal drivers that govern our interactions now. It is a great jumping off point to spark your interest in my opinion.
