Loved how the protagonist is a real, non-whiney, normal woman! I enjoyed a drier sense of humor without the over-the-top "hot mess" trope sometimes present in mature women's fiction. A fun start to the series, I look forward to the next one.

The newly divorced midlife fmc who discovers her magic is not a new story arc - but there is plenty in this story that kept me interested and will ensure I continue with the series. Loved it!
