Story
Sandra had been a merchant traveling through the human lands of Muriel, though that wouldn’t have been her chosen profession. What she would’ve loved to become was a crafter, producing wondrous creations with her own two hands. Unfortunately, Sandra was born with a deformity in her hands that made them appear frozen in a claw-like pose; as a result, she couldn’t grip anything with any sort of strength or dexterity, meaning that she wasn’t able craft anything but the most simple of things that required very little in the way of hand-based manipulation.

However, Kelerim left her dungeon to seek out his father, leaving her all alone with just Winxa - her dungeon fairy - as company. Too many stats not enough story

Publisher's Summary
Following a miraculous resurrection, Fred - the half-human/half-dungeon-core hybrid - managed to reunite with Deecy, his helpful dire wolf guide and companion. Not only that, but he was able to perform an equally miraculous resurrection of Eisa, the human woman that had professed her love for him just moments before the tragic event of their deaths.
But would she be the same as she was before, or would she be forever changed by the unique process that had brought her back?
Accompanied by a friend from Fred’s past, the group journeys to the west in search of the Core Power Guild and the townspeople of Gatecross. Along the way, Eisa discovers the strange new abilities that she now possesses - abilities that are very similar to Deecy’s, the shape-shifting dire wolf that travels with them. Eventually, they arrive in the Deadlands, a constantly decaying landscape filled with undead monsters of all types; information on the Guild’s whereabouts are easily found, but Fred and his friends aren’t forgotten by the nature and earth cores that he had inadvertently destroyed.
Is anywhere in the world safe enough to create a dungeon that will keep his friends - and those he loves - protected from the threat that the Factions pose to them?
Only the broken shards of the dungeon cores he left behind know the answer to that.
Contains litRPG/gamelit elements such as statistics and leveling. No harems and no profanity.

Great listen, good magic system, could be better
I have really enjoyed this series so far. It has a fun and continually developing magic system, fun new environments, and a variety of characters. The writer follows some common and occasionally frustrating tropes, but it's still good writing. The reader does a great job and I am thoroughly impressed.

Book 3 is the best book between books 2 & 4!
Our MC, Fred, keeps on making his way in the world of dungeons with his trusty companions. As they are getting stronger they are able to do more and they get closer together. Does Fred get his 5th element? You can read this book or maybe ask Bruce Willis to find out. Do they find their villager friends with glowing yellow Xs above their heads? Are they able to escape the hordes of giant whores and whorelings before they get to the dark mana dungeon territory? (spoiler alert: no mention of a pimp. I guess I could be spelling the names of the monsters wrong, but I listened to the book, I didn't eyeball read it.) ;-) A giant dark rock squirrel. I wish there was more of it in the book. Hopefully next book. Fred establishes a territory in two locations that are off limits. And he keeps on turning dead friends into core people. This book just takes the story and keeps it going and ups the stakes. Keep it up Brooks. If you keep the stories this exciting, I don't ever want the series to stop. If you listened to the 1st two books of this series before this one you already know that Meili is a rock star on the mic and he doesn't disappoint this time either. If you are a fan of fantasy and LitRPG you will love this book.

I started this series with very little expectation, the whole perspective of the narrative seemed strange to me. I have literally just finished this book and I have to say, it is absolutely incredible. The whole thing is a fascinating delve into the mind of essentially the unsung/invisible elements that comprise some of my favourite games, in various ways! Incredible work.

Gets better and better
This book is a hidden gem for core lovers. I am a huge fan the character development of the MC fred..... (he has a long name), he was once like s1 sheldon (from big bang theory) but is learning about his and others emotions... Moreover the writing in this book creates a vivid image of each scene and suckers you into listening to more and more of it. I'm already committed to this series. On to the next one!

a great addition to the series, gobbled it up in 2 days and am wanting more... we get more of the bestest characters and further development of characters, the world and the plot... all around everything you could wish for in a sequel :) I'm still not impressed by Miles's female voices, but they don't get in the way of the story, just doesn't enhance it in my opinion, otherwise he does a good job

Troubles ramp up rapidly
The latest instalment of this series feels even more hectic than the previous one, the situations that the main character and his friends find themselves in continue to escalate even more and some of his friends undergo some very significant changes during this book, while the main character finds new goals beyond his original desire for revenge against those dungeon cores responsible for the deaths of his parents. The narrator's performance in this one does not change significantly from the previous books, doing a good job of enhancing the story. Overall, this series seems to be going from strength to strength with each book building significantly on the foundations of the first one. A great story keeps unfolding.
Very well written, just like the previous two books. The narration is very enjoyable to listen too, a nice soft male voice. This male voice is a bit less suited for the female characters though. I found the previous two books to be a bit more thrilling and action-packed. But it's still a great book nonetheless.

Loved this.
The only issue Ive had, was with the narrators. His female voices are pretty weak and indistinguishable. His male voices are great, but I think the series would benefit immensely by adding a female narrator to partner with the current narrator.
