Publisher's Summary

A bad boy. A good girl. A second chance that could send them both up in flames.

Emily was a cop's daughter, and I was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. At 18, our affair was wild and completely secret until she left town for college and a better life, and I hit the road to nowhere.

Eight years later, we're both back in town. My father is in prison; Emily is selflessly helping her sister. We should be farther apart than we've ever been. But I've never been able to resist temptation, especially when that temptation is Emily.

I shouldn't go near her. But I do.

She shouldn't say yes. But she does.

Our chemistry is hotter than ever, but she's hiding something from me. Just like I'm hiding something from her. It's hard to tell whose secrets are more dangerous, until it all goes to hell.

I can save her, and she can save me. But we'll have to break the rules.

We're from different worlds. We don't belong together.

But in the end, Emily and I are going to have to get dirty.

Got addicted to the Riggs Brothers!

Julie Kriss is a new to me author, but I can see myself already becoming addicted to her words! However, Erin Mallon and Joe Arden are absolutely not new to me and happen to be some of my favorite narrators! I could listen to them read the phone book and I’d be just fine.

Now, I did end up thoroughly loving these characters. However, Emily, our heroine, takes some warming up to. The way she treats Luke, our hero, in the beginning doesn’t win herself over to anyone. She’s the daughter of the most respected cop in town and he is the son of one of most disliked men in town.

When they both end up back in their hometown at the same time years later, of course sparks are going to fly between the two.

What I really loved in the story was Julie Kriss being able to show these character’s growth. Even when the story takes place years later when they’re back in their hometown, Julie still has these characters learning about themselves and what they want.

Drive Me Wild has absolutely wetted my appetite for the rest of the Riggs Brothers.

Wonderful narration

I am so excited that I got to do an audible review for Julie Kriss.

Drive Me Wild was my first book by this author, and I am happy to report it will not be the last.

Since this was an audible review, I'm going to do things a little differently. I want to make sure that I speak to the narrators as well as the story. The narrators for this book were Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. They did an excellent job as Luke and Emily along with the secondary characters in the book. I've listened to Joe and Erin on several other audiobooks, and they continue to be two of my favorite narrators.

Now on to the story. I very much enjoyed the sort of friends with benefits to friends to lovers that Drive Me Wild presented. Luke is not the typical alpha hero, more of a good guy from the wrong side of the tracks but not all that good. Emily has emotional guards so high you're not sure if Luke is going to be able to get through. I loved her sarcastic humor and wit. I thought the twist of Emily's mother being the cop in the family was great. Typically it's an overprotective Father as a cop, so I thought the switch-up was a great idea and worked well.

I am excited to start the next book in the series!

Great listen!

This was my first book by Julie Kriss and I really enjoyed it! It was a bit of a second-chance romance, as Emily and Luke have a short fling and are apart for several years. When they both return to their hometown years later, they find that they still feel a connection to one another, but try to fight it since they both have some pretty big secrets and self-truths that need dealing with first. They believe they are from different worlds, and I loved watching them realize that they aren't so different after all. The story was well-written, with enough suspense to keep me invested in it and the narration was fantastic. I'm looking forward to the rest of the Riggs brothers books!

Hooked!

My first book ever by Julie Kriss and I LOVED it!!! Joe and Erin brought these characters to life perfectly. I was hooked from start to finish! Luke and Julie’s story definitely wasn’t easy but it was the perfect example to never judge a book by its cover. I love how Emily stood up for who she loved and was supportive. I love how the boys dealt with the dilemma their father threw at them. I’m so excited that all 4 boys have their own book and can’t wait to listen.

Luke 😍

Audiobook review. 3.5 Stars. I fell for Luke right away. He was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a huge heart. Emily was an acquired taste for me. There were things about her treatment of Luke that made me upset. She seemed to have experienced some growth but not as much as I would’ve liked.

The plot was interesting and I found myself wondering how it would all work out. I enjoyed the role of the secondary characters as they added another layer of complexity. I’m looking forward to getting to know them as I progress in the series.

The narrators, Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, did a fantastic job with their portrayal of Luke and Emily. Their pace, tone, and pitch were complementary and executed well. Erin has some of the best transitions I’ve heard.

Complementary copy received and voluntarily reviewed.

Looking for a quick and sexy read? Look no further

This was a fun and fast paced NA romance. Emily comes back to town to help out her sister only to find her family is a mess; Nothing is like it used to be. She never intended to come back but here she is. Then life throws her a curve ball and brings the boy she lost her virginity to back into her life. She hasn't seen or spoken to him in almost a decade. One thing leads to another and it's like no time has passed. Except that she's still keeping him a secret like before. But this time the stakes are higher. Her mom, who is a cop, is investigating Luke's family. Things heat up and then s**t goes down. I wasn't sure how everything would come together in the end!

This is the first book in the Riggs Brothers novels by Julie Kriss and my first time reading one of her books. I received an audiobook in exchange for a review. I liked the narrators and I am interested to read the other brothers books. Julie did a good job of pulling you into the storyline quickly and keeping me listening. I read the whole thing in a day.

Amazing start to a series!!

What happens when the good girl falls for the bad boy?? Fireworks, that’s what happens! This book introduced me to a new author that I will surely read more of. I really enjoyed this story and how it all played out. There were some moments when I wanted to shake Emily and Luke for their stubbornness but OMG, the chemistry between them was undeniable!
Their lives couldn’t have been more different but somehow these two lost souls were able to find their way.
Drive Me Wild had a bit of everything, longing, regret, doubt, smokin hot scenes, and finally a hard won love, but watching it all come together was great!! This is a book that I highly recommend and will definitely be passing along to my friends! Plus the narrators did a great job bringing this story to life!

My Thoughts on Drive Me Wild

Julie Kriss may be a new author for me but she has me all kinds of excited for her work now. I just finished listening to Drive Me Wild and loved it.

This second chance romance featuring a cop's daughter and a criminal's son was an absolute pleasure to listen to. The characters were great, both main and secondary getting me invested in them. I love books where you like the main characters but also as you're hearing and learning more about their friends or family members, you get excited at the thought of them getting a book too. That was totally the case with Drive Me Wild.

Luke Riggs was the kind of leading man you love instantly. And he only gets better the more the story goes on. Emily was equally amazing. Their past and current connection is undeniable and they certainly had me rooting for them.

Erin Mallon and Joe Arden teamed up to tell this story in dual narration and I loved it although its hard not to when Erin has such a great male voice.

This is a great series starter and I'm excited for book two.

Completely smitten

Well then, I didn't see any of Drive Me Wild coming at me!! I loved the cover and the blurb and knew I wanted to listen but since I've never read or listened to Julie Kriss before I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised though. I'm all in with these Riggs brothers. Luke is definitely the mature one with a take-the-lead kind of personality. My only one small complaint is I wish the characters were developed a little more... what was between Luke and Emily was a bit more fine-tuned. I was almost surprised myself with confessions of love when it just seemed like only a few days of a rekindled romance. I enjoyed it a ton though! I started it this morning while preparing for work and finished before I finished working for the day.

The narrators are two of the best in romance. if either of them are narrating then I know I'm getting something special but to give me both of them, together?!?! I'm strait up in love with them! There's nothing, absolutely nothing that I would change about this narration except I want more... which is handy because I want more the the story too!!

I loved it

Drive Me Wild was my first Julie Kriss novel and I loved it. This second chance romance between the cop's daughter and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks was steamy, sweet yet had a little angst, that all served to keep you hooked on the pages of the story. While I loved Luke, Emily took some getting used to as I did not like her attitude at first. Although short, the story was well written and layered with an amazing cast of secondary characters. This page-turner was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of Contemporary romance.
The audiobook was narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon. Together they did an excellent job with the narration. They had great pace and timing and really brought the story to life. I enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.

Bad boy with a heart

Emily Parker is back in town and everything seems to be turned upside down in her world. The one thing that feels like home is Luke Riggs. It has been 8 years but those feelings are still there and Emily needs Luke but there's has been a hidden relationship for many reasons and she isn't ready to be public about it yet.

Luke Riggs is back in town to run his father's body shop business. Little did he know there was things going on that could land him in jail right along beside his dad. His only concern though is Emily, she's all that matters.

Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are fantastic in this audiobook. I love listening to them and they kept my attention from start to finish.

I loved this audiobook and I highly recommend it.

A bad boy never looked so good

Drive Me Wild is the first book of the Riggs Brother series and it is narrated by the lovely duo Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. I’ve never really been a fan of second-chance romances, but this one just might have changed my mind. First off, I loved the characters. Emily and Luke are literally from two different sides of the tracks, but the chemistry was HOT. I loved that Luke acknowledges that they don’t exactly go together, yet he fights to prove he is worth it to not only her and her mother, but also to himself. The narration just made it so much better. They brought the entire story to life and made me love Emily and Luke that much more. I am so ready to push play on book 2. If you love second-chance romance and even if you don’t, give this one a try because it won’t disappoint.

Luke and Emily!

After being away for eight years Emily has returned to her hometown to help out her sister and the last person that she expected to see was Luke, the only man she has ever loved.

Luke has returned to town after eight years as well as with his dad in jail he and his brothers need to not only run his business but make it honest as well.

Emily and Luke were together when they were 18 however she was the daughter of a cop and he was the bad boy from the wrong side of town. Their attraction is back stronger than ever but must their feelings for each other always be a dirty secret or this time around are they able to show everyone how they feel about each other?

I really enjoyed the narration of this story and thought that the narrators were a perfect choice for this story. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Second chance romance, both captivating & steamy!

I really enjoyed this story about Emily and Luke! A bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks and a police officer’s daughter. Such a good, forbidden type romance story with a layer of second chance romance.

I adored both main characters, heck even all the side characters! I loved the relationship that Em and Luke had in the past and rekindled almost a decade later. Their chemistry was off the charts hot!!!!!!

I can’t wait to read more books about the Riggs boys!

Luke Riggs.....

Give me a good second chance romance and I am hooked! Julie Kriss, where have you been? I loved this first book in the Riggs Brothers series. It's a little bit of Romeo and Juliet, as we have Emily and Luke from different sides of the tracks and it's just not suitable for them to be together. In high school though, this couple had their secret relationship, and now years later, with trouble on the horizon, will they get their second chance? What great characters Kriss has developed. Four brothers, each completely different, with this book focused on Luke. I love books that have history, and it's not always an easy path. Great first book of the series!

Narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, it's easy to get lost in this story. Arden as Luke is a perfect fit, giving him a little edginess, yet his voice has that softness so we can easily fall for the good in him. Mallon gives Emily that energy, the spunky, secretive sister, yet shows the vulnerability as her true feelings show. Loved this dynamic team's interpretation of the book.

Brilliant listen!!!

I have absolutely loved this audio. The story is interesting and fast moving. The action between Emily and Luke is hot and and I loved that Julie Kris's did not shilly shally around filling us in with their background together and moving the action along. I loved learning about each of the Riggs brothers, their banter and behaviour together. The characters are so interestingand I was really drawn to them. The voice actors, Erin Mallon and Joe Arden just knocked the whole thing out of the park and I was reluctant to leave their company as they brought Emily and Luke totally to life. 5 stars all the way! 😍♥️💖🔥🔥
