Story
Everyone knows Ryan Riggs - everyone who follows minor league baseball, that is. He's the player with the hair-trigger temper, the bad shoulder, and the smoking-hot looks. He's also a single dad in need of a nanny - which makes him my new boss. Simple. Except for one thing: We had a one-night stand five years ago. We're trying to be professional. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the more I work with him, the more I'm thinking about a repeat.

Story
A bad boy. A good girl. A second chance that could send them both up in flames. Emily was a cop's daughter, and I was the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. At 18, our affair was wild and completely secret until she left town for college and a better life, and I hit the road to nowhere. Eight years later, we're both back in town. My father is in prison; Emily is selflessly helping her sister. We should be farther apart than we've ever been. But I've never been able to resist temptation, especially when that temptation is Emily.

Story
I hate Jason Carsleigh. Gorgeous, sexy, perfect Jason Carsleigh. He was the golden boy in high school - the one every girl dreamed about. Except me. I have my reasons. He owes me big, so I'm calling in a favor. I need Jason as my date for my ex's wedding. He just has to wear a suit, look hot, and pretend he likes me. Then I'm done with him forever. I'm not going to tell him my secrets. I'm not going to see the not-so-golden side no one else gets to see. I'm not going to fall for him. And I'm definitely not going to rip that sexy suit off him and do every dirty thing imaginable.

Publisher's Summary
A buttoned-up counsellor. A hot ex-con with secrets. One session that changes everything.
It was supposed to be simple: Let Jace Riggs walk into my counseling office, tell me how he’s adjusting to post-prison life, and let him walk out again. But the first thing I've learned is that nothing is simple with Jace.
He’s tall, muscled, bearded, and tatted. He’s smarter than anyone else in the room and 10 times more guarded. He’s hiding things that would break any other man to pieces. He’s a loner, a bad boy, and an infamous Riggs brother from the wrong side of the tracks.
He’s a hundred kinds of wrong for me. And even when I’m not his counselor anymore, I still want to break down his defenses.
Jace has never trusted anyone - until me. He says I’m the only woman he wants close to him. The only woman he’s wanted in his bed - ever. And when he looks at me with that look of white-hot fire, I believe everything he says.
My own secrets could get Jace sent back to prison - or get him killed. And he doesn’t care.
We had so little time. We might not have until morning. But with the fire ignited between Jace and me, forever wouldn’t be long enough....

Irresistible!
I am really falling for these misunderstood Riggs brothers. Even tho they had a harsh upbringing, these brothers are loyal, loving, and protective of each other. Jace is the youngest brother who is quiet, thoughtful and intelligent. He was the last brother anyone would expect to go to prison. But he did, and is out now, living and working with Luke at the shop. He must see a counselor as part of his parole, and that is Tara. They didn't start off very well, mostly because they had an instant and fiery attraction. Tara tries her hardest to get the quiet Jace to open up. The harder she tried the more frustrating he was. But Tara realized he was more than what his file said, or didn't say. Suddenly Jace was released from her counseling, but Tara was determined to figure out his secrets. They started acting on the attraction they felt from the start and they were so sweet together. But Tara has secrets of her own, add that to the fallout from his father's dealings, and they could be over, or worse, before they even really start. There were several plot twists that made this story exciting and irresistible. Joe Arden, and Erin Mallon once again narrate this moving, fun, and passionate story. They delivered the characterizations, suspense, and passion so flawlessly, making me see both Jace and Tara so clearly in my mind, that I was easily lost in the story.
I am becoming so invested in this family and am excited to find out more about the rest of the Riggs Brothers!

Addicted to the Riggs brothers!
After listening to Drive Me Wild I couldn’t wait to dive into Take Me Down! I can confess that I am absolutely addicted to these Riggs brothers! Drive Me Wild introduced all four brothers to us and Julie Kriss did a fabulous job giving them all unique personas that have me obsessed with every one of them!
But let’s talk about Jace. Who doesn’t love a virgin hero? They’re rare and have become one of my favorite tropes!
Everyone has their assumptions about Jace Riggs but no one can understand his past actions and why he did the things he did. This is what drew him to me the most. The intrigue. You will WANT to understand Jace. No, let me correct that. You will NEED to understand Jace!
Tara is strong and independent, and just everything I love in a heroine! She was absolutely Jace’s perfect match.
I am also loving the story line with the brothers and how they are reconnecting. I am anxious for the next book in the series in for no other reason then for the interactions with the brothers and watching them bond again!

A great continuation of the series!
This is the second book of the Riggs Brothers series and I enjoyed it even more than the first. Jace is the ex-con of the family and Tara is the counselor assigned to him for his probation. So, we have sort of a forbidden love vibe going on. As was the case with Luke (brother in book one,) we are finding that there is way more to this family than what is on the surface. Great story and great narration! I look forward to more of this series.

This series just keeps getting better...
I thought I really liked Luke Riggs, but then I listened to Jace's book and now I think I'm going to end up loving them all.
I loved so much about this book. I loved that while this book features a guy who is attending counseling after getting out of jail, and shares a mutual attraction to his counselor, it's done in a tasteful way. I loved that the leading lady Tara was smart and accomplished, she was also compassionate and kind. She saw through the defense Jace put up, and she appreciated him for who he really was.
I loved that the Riggs brothers are showing new sides of themselves and growing their relationship. It helped me connect more with all of them.
The two narrators for this story were amazing. Both of them had me fully emersed in the story they were telling because their performance was so good. I definitely want more by both of them in future. And I want more of this series.

Strong and Silent Type Are My Kryptonite 😍
Audiobook review. There’s something about the strong and silent type that just does it for me. Especially the intellectuals that defy the stereotypes. Jace was that and more. He had this air about him that begged for a woman like Tara to try to figure him out. I liked Tara too. She was this buttoned up professional that got flustered by her patient when nobody had ever shaken her up before.
The plot was interesting, especially as it continues an overarching dilemma that seems to be interconnecting the different books in the series. I liked the contrast when experiencing Jace as a hero versus how he appeared in book one.
I found one inconsistency in the plot between book one and two but it wasn’t on something big so I moved on pretty quickly. Overall a solid read.
Erin Mallon and Joe Arden brought these characters to life and did them justice. They are a great combo who, like always, brought their A game.

Perfect continuation of the Riggs Brothers series!
The first book in the Riggs Brothers novels felt like a pretty standard (but enjoyable) bad boy romance novel. I really liked Jace’s character DRIVE ME WILD and was very much looking forward to seeing how his character developed in his own story. Julie Kriss did not disappoint! I found this installment in this series to be fun, engaging but also suspenseful. The overarching story that started in Luke’s book continues and the stakes are higher than ever!
Jace is recently released from prison and is attending mandatory counseling. The attraction between him and Tara (his counselor!) heats up quickly. I enjoyed the chemistry between these two and for such a short book, it packs quite a punch. This book is both sweet and sexy and gave me everything I was looking for in Jace's story. Although this is part of a series, you can definitely read TAKE ME DOWN on it's own. I'm looking forward to reading the last two books.

Not all bad boys are truly bad
Loved Jace and Tara’s story. I was totally shocked by the bomb that Jace dropped but it made me love him that much more. I disliked Kyle from jump street and wasn’t surprised one bit by what he did. The story flowed so smoothly and had me on my toes. So excited for Ryan’s story. Can’t wait for the audio. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden we’re perfect narrators.

Quid pro quo, Clarice!
Lol this gave me a bit of a Silence of the Lambs vibe... well, minus the whole eating faces and brains that is! That is not the type of eating face Jace likes to do! * Cough * Cough * Excuse me for a moment but I think these Riggs men make all women a bit crazy. Anyways, it was only the counseling meetings that made me feel this way. Otherwise, Jace is an absolute dream! I have this feeling that every Riggs man is going to steal my heart during their book and I'm really ok with that but I'm going to need Dex and Ryan in my ears like ASAP!
So far the first book and this book have said that the Riggs brothers aren't close but I beg to differ. These boys care so much about each other. They just have no idea what to do with it. Their actions show much more of their hearts than their words do. Now Jace and Tara, I loved them together! They were fire and oxygen... one giving strength to the other. They really balanced each other so perfectly!
That narration from Erin Mallon and Joe Arden was perfection. I have been sitting here wracking my brain on anything I could even slightly complain about but I have nothing. These two are so good together. There's not one single thing that could be changed to make the narration better... nothing.

Loving this series!!
This book is another hit for this author. I though Luke was going to be my favorite Riggs brother but Jace quickly took his spot. He was the sweet, smart brother and I was instantly hooked on him, and super protective...So I was worried about how Tara would be and let me tell you, I couldn’t have handpicked a better woman for him! Both of these characters were strong yet vulnerable and just wanted to be loved.
This story is wildly intense and packed full of the feels. The danger and double crossing adds an element that will have you hanging on every word. I definitely recommend this book and the it can be read as a standalone however book one was great so you May as well go all in!

Jace, Jace, Jace! Finally!
Oh Jace! I've been dying for his book the second I finished Drive Me Wild.
Jace Riggs, is the quiet Riggs brother. He was the clever one, that would read books to pass the time and keep to himself. However when he got convicted as a car thief and spent 20 months in jail it surprised all his brothers.
Now he's getting some counselling from a woman called Tara. She is very independent, she is honest and takes no bullshit, which might be why her and Have butt head more than once when they meet.
They have an instant attraction to one another but try to stay professional even if that fails and ends with them arguing.
After Jace becomes her client no longer she can't help but still seeking him out. They both have unfinished business in a sense and they need to appologise and make up.
Small encounters build to so much more and soon enough they're too far gone. However with an ex-fiance still annoyed at Tara and even more so at her dating a Riggs brother a lot of drama occurs to cause some havoc.
It was a fun, enticing and thrilling read with the perfect layer of heart and heat. I'm craving more of the Riggs brothers and it's not just becuase Joe Arden's narration is perfection.
Thank you for the Audio Review copy in exchange for an honest review.

A fantastic page turner
Take Me Down is the second book in the Riggs brothers series and another fantastic page-turner by Julie Kriss. This was Jace and Tara's story and I was hooked until the very end. From the moment these two met you could feel the chemistry between them even though they both tried to deny it. The other characters from the previous novel appeared in this story and provided great support to the main characters.
This novel had steamy scenes, action, some violence and was a captivating enjoyable read. I can't wait to read about the other two brothers in this series. I would highly recommend this novel to all lovers of contemporary romance.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden who were perfect together for this story. They brought the characters to life and really made the story a pleasure to listen to.

Things are never as the seem
Love this series and after listening to Book 1 I couldn't wait to listen to this one.
This is Jace Riggs story and he is the youngest of the 4 brothers and the quietest. He is also the one that just got out of prison for stealing cars for his worthless father. He is forced to see a counselor and when he does he is blown away with feelings he hasn't felt before. He knows he can't have her but he surely does want her.
Tara Montgomery is assigned Jace on her caseload to give him counseling to help him back into society after his release from prison. Even though he wasn't in there that long it is par for the course to go through the motions to hopefully keep the excons on the straight side of the law. She is intrigued by Jace, he doesn't fit the description for a criminal and she feels there is more to his story than he is sharing with her and she plans to find out the rest of the story. Little did she know she would lose her heart along the way.
Joe Arden and Erin Mallon are fantastic in this book. Love their voices and I was completely wrapped up in this story.
I love this series, love this book and highly recommend both. Can't wait to listen to book 3.

An enjoyable addition to an awesome series
Take Me Down is Book 2 in the Riggs brothers’ series. Jace is the soft-spoken brother who was fresh out of jail when we met him in Book 1. I wanted to hug him then and well that didn’t change much in this one. I loved the introduction of Tara, who totally thought he was the criminal that everyone else did and then she quickly changed her toon. The narration by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon was just as good as book 1 and I loved it from start to finish. I hadn’t read this series before now, so listening to it for the first time was like listening to a movie play out in all the best ways. I can’t recommend it enough and now I’m patiently (well maybe not patiently) waiting for book 3.

It’s the quiet ones you have to watch out for! ;)
Absolutely loved this read! Jace and Tara were electric from the very start!
This particular Riggs brother had my attention in book 1 of the series and I was so excited to read his story. Jace was smart and reserved but he wasn’t who everyone thought he was. He hid a secret that could effect a lot of people around him which is why he never got too close to anyone, especially a woman. Well, that was until his court mandated counseling landed him in the hot seat with a hot therapist that he couldn’t resist!
Tara was spectacular! Her character was nothing too extravagant or wow worthy but she was honest and real. I loved her confidence and drive. She was strong and sexy and caught the attention of the most unlikely of suitors.
The back and forth, push and pull between the H and h was so fun to read. When they finally gave into their desires, it was downright erotic! I really liked the little bit of drama and suspense that was woven seamlessly into the story line and how it brought an element of surprise to the plot. Such great writing and character development. I will definitely be sticking around for the rest of the series! These Riggs boys have me hooked!
The narration of this audiobook was perfection! The narrators brought the characters to life and made this book an absolute pleasure to listen to. Can we just show some love to Erin and her ability to execute those sultry scenes flawlessly?!?
I voluntarily listened to and reviewed this audiobook which was provided to me by Wildfire Marketing.

Jace and Tara!
As a condition of Jace’s release from prison he must attend sessions with his court ordered counselor to help him adjust to life outside prison. Out of all the Riggs brothers Jace’s quiet and considerate personality made him the least likely to end up in jail.
Tara is his counselor and she is having troubles reconciling Jace as an ex-con and although she knows she should keep her distance there is no denying the connection between them.
They both have pasts which are causing some drama and suspense but there is no doubting that these two are meant to be. I thought the narrators did a great job with both these characters and made the story enjoyable to listen to. I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook.

Just Fantastic!!
Wow! I think I have fallen in love with the Riggs brothers!😊 In Take Me Down, Julie Kris's brings us the quiet, intelligent, gorgeous Jace Riggs and the wonderful Terra who completes him. The voice acting of Erin Mallon and Joe Arden is, again, impeccable! They are both able to infuse such life (and hotness when needed) into the book, making you forget they are reading you a story, because they don't simply read, they convince you to hang onto every word. I have devoured this audio and, unusually for me, am now going to read the book afterwards, rather than before! I am hoping so very much, that these two talented people will be bringing their skills to the other Riggs brothers!!

Jace..what a story!
Julie Kriss has me on the edge of my seat with this series. I loved Luke and Emily's story, but Jace and Tara really won my heart. This is the youngest of the Riggs brothers, and I loved him. He has attitude and fortitude. He's a good man, made some questionable choices, but has come a long way. Tara is his counselor, or was supposed to be. She is persistent and can see a person for whom they are. They are so good together, it's hard not to love them. But while the love story is important, I was entranced by the storyline. It's edgy and thrilling, has twists and turns and has me set for hearing Dex and Ryan's stories. There are constant surprises, so I know we are in for a thrilling ride!
Erin Mallon and Joe Arden continue the narration, and it is so good, it just pulls you in. These two have a magic together, and with this story have given the characters such real life quality and feelings, that it's like they are our friends and we are experiencing the story with them. They are perfect for this series.
