Niemand Geringeres als George R. R. Martin sagte einmal über die große Osten-Ard-Fantasy von Tad Williams, das sie die Inspirationsquelle für Game of Thrones (aka Das Lied von Eis und Feuer) gewesen sei. Glücklicherweise hat Williams seine Saga in die Verlängerung geschickt: Es bannt sich neuer Ungemach an. Die Nornen wollen Osten Ard zurückerobern, die todgeglaubte Nornenkönigin Utuk’ku will die Hexenholzkrone für sich. König Simon und Königin Miriamel sehen keinen anderen Weg als ihren Enkel Prinz Morgan zu dem alten Volk der Sithi zu schicken.
