One Italian Mafia boss holds the daughter of another boss captive. I love how the story had great momentum and didn’t drag on. The spicy parts were spicy, the mafia parts were sometime not for the faint hearted. This book had me in the edge of my seat for most of it.

He had me in a chokehold the entire book.
I’ll be honest—I wasn’t the biggest Luca fan earlier in the series, but Devoted completely flipped that on its head. Luna Mason really gave us the layers and depth I didn’t even know I needed from him. Seeing the pain, responsibility, and heartbreak he’s carried all his life was gut-wrenching. He never wanted to be a mafia boss he was forced into it and watching him finally start to choose the life he wants? Ugh, my heart.
Rosa was a very different FMC compared to the others in this series. She’s dealing with real trauma, real pain, and her way of coping while heartbreaking was raw and honest. I appreciated how Luna didn’t shy away from the ugly sides of grief and survival. Both Luca and Rosa would literally go to war to protect the people they love, even if it meant sacrificing their own happiness. That selflessness? Beautifully tragic.
And when things started to spiral… I was not ready. Some of those twists? DEVASTATING. I had to put the book down a few times just to breathe. Maria? Cruel. Dante? Evil in its purest form. And don’t even get me started on Mrs. Russo… I SOBBED.
Their story was a rollercoaster intense, emotional, powerful. If I had one critique, it’s that maybe it could’ve been a little shorter, but I was so locked in I didn’t mind too much.
Also—THE AUDIOBOOK! Joe Arden (aka my favourite narrator ever) and Desiree Ketchum were phenomenal. Joe’s delivery in those emotional scenes? Actual tears. Their chemistry brought Luca and Rosa’s story to life in the most beautiful way.
Now… Frankie’s book 👀 I am SO ready. I need to know everything about his past. And Zara O’Reilly?? The commissioner’s daughter?? GIVE. IT. TO. ME.
